A hybrid vehicle includes: an engine; first and second rotating electric machines; a connection/disconnection mechanism; a power storage device; and a control device. Further, when an acceleration request occurs during EV traveling mode, the control device controls, when determining that a predetermined acceleration smaller than a requested acceleration and corresponding to a vehicle speed cannot be generated by torque output by the second rotating electric machine, the torque output by the second rotating electric machine so as to generate an acceleration less than the predetermined acceleration while controlling the torque by the engine and torque by the first rotating electric machine, and when determining that the predetermined acceleration cannot be generated by the torque output by the second rotating electric machine, controls the torque output by the second rotating electric machine so as to generate the acceleration equal to or greater than the predetermined acceleration.

Hybrid vehicle

In a drive unit for four-wheel drive vehicle that allows a motor for driving front wheels to be easily installed, a torque of an engine is transmitted to a rear wheel axle via a transmission and a rear propeller shaft, and a torque of a front drive motor is transmitted to a front wheel axle via a front propeller shaft. A front drive unit is disposed between the transmission and the rear wheel axle. A case of the front drive unit houses: a main shaft that transmits to the rear propeller shaft an output torque of the transmission; the front drive motor; and a sub-shaft that is disposed in a position shifted in a vehicle width direction with respect to the main shaft and transmits to the front propeller shaft an output torque of the front drive motor.

Drive unit for four-wheel drive vehicle

A control system for a four-wheel drive vehicle configured to improve energy efficiency by avoiding selection of a four-wheel drive mode more than necessary. The control system comprises a controller that shifts an operating mode between a two-wheel drive mode and a four-wheel drive mode. When a control of the prime mover is terminated, the controller detects the operating mode selected by a switch before restarting the control of the prime mover. If the two-wheel drive mode or the four-wheel drive mode was selected by the switch before restarting the control of the prime mover, the controller selects the two-wheel drive mode when restarting the control of the prime mover.

Control system for four-wheel drive vehicle

A vehicular control system for reducing shocks by inhibiting switching operation of a dog clutch when drive force cannot be assisted by an engine. A controller determines that an increase in the drive force by the engine is restricted. In a case that an increase in the drive force is not restricted when launching the vehicle, the controller establishes a first gear stage in the transmission to launch the vehicle, and shift to the second gear stage upon satisfaction of a predetermined condition during propulsion while increasing the drive force. In a case that an increase in the drive force is restricted when launching the vehicle, the controller establishes a second gear stage in the transmission to launch the vehicle.

An internal-combustion engine includes: a direct fuel injector directly injecting fuel into a combustion chamber; and a control device. The control device performs: presumption processing that presumes, based on an operating condition of the internal-combustion engine, that a thermoplastic deposit is formed on an injection hole portion of the direct fuel injector; temperature control processing that increases a temperature of the injection hole portion when the thermoplastic deposit is presumed to be formed; and first removal processing that injects the fuel from the direct fuel injector after the temperature control processing.

A control device for an internal combustion engine is provided. The control device includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to set a target air-fuel ratio to a rich air-fuel ratio from a time at which fuel cut control for terminating fuel supply to a combustion chamber during operation of the internal combustion engine is terminated to a time at which an output air-fuel ratio of a downstream-side air-fuel ratio sensor becomes a rich determination air-fuel ratio or lower, temporarily set the target air-fuel ratio to the rich air-fuel ratio after the output air-fuel ratio of the downstream-side air-fuel ratio sensor becomes the rich determination air-fuel ratio or lower, and thereafter set the target air-fuel ratio to a lean air-fuel ratio.

Control device for internal combustion engine

A control apparatus for a multicylinder internal combustion engine includes: a detection portion that detects a parameter that represents degree of variation in air/fuel ratio among cylinders; a measurement portion that measures stored oxygen amount of a catalyst provided in an exhaust passageway of the internal combustion engine; and a rich-control portion that switches between execution and stop of a rich control for enriching the air/fuel ratio according to the stored oxygen amount measured by the measurement portion when the parameter detected by the detection portion is greater than or equal to a predetermined value.

Control apparatus for internal combustion engine

A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine includes: a first detector that detects air/fuel ratio in an exhaust passageway on an upstream of an exhaust gas-controlling catalyst in multi-cylinder internal combustion engine; a second detector that detects the air/fuel ratio in the exhaust passageway on a downstream of the catalyst; a feedback controller that executes a feedback control so that a first detected value based on the first detector output follows to be equal as a first predetermined target value and so that a second detected value based on the second detector output follows to be equal as a second predetermined target value that corresponds to the first predetermined target value during an initial state; an abnormality detection device configured to detect a variation abnormality in the air/fuel ratio among the cylinders; and a change device that changes the second predetermined target value when the variation abnormality is detected.
