A vehicle exterior part is configured to be arranged frontward of a millimeter wave radar device with respect to the transmission direction of millimeter waves. The vehicle exterior part includes an ornamental body, a light source that emits light, and a light diffuse reflection member. The light diffuse reflection member is millimeter wave-transmissive and diffuses and reflects light. The ornamental body includes a base and an ornamental layer. The base is millimeter wave-transmissive and diffuses and transmits the light. The ornamental layer is millimeter wave-transmissive and arranged frontward of the base with respect to the transmission direction. The light source, the ornamental body, and the light diffuse reflection member are arranged so that the light emitted from the light source is diffused and reflected by the light diffuse reflection member and directed toward the base.

A light emitting device includes: a first lead including a first base portion having a constant thickness and a first small-thickness portion having a thickness smaller than that of the first base portion; a second lead including a second base portion having a constant thickness and a second small-thickness portion having a thickness smaller than that of the second base portion; wherein the first small-thickness portion and the second small-thickness portion face each other with a gap interposed therebetween; the length of the gap is 0.9 to 1.2 times the thickness of the edges of the first small-thickness portion and the second small-thickness portion; the length of the bonding wire in a plan view of the light emitting device is smaller than a value obtained by adding the thickness of the base portion, a width of a mounting-disabled area, and a width of a bonding-disabled area.

To provide a backlight unit for use in a liquid crystal display device and so on, which is capable of overcoming a problem of interference due to expansion and contraction of a light guide plate and an optical sheet and preventing a strange noise by clicking, a backlight unit includes a support plate, a light guide plate that is disposed in the front side of the support plate and emits light, which is introduced from a light source through the end side of the light guide plate, through the front side of the light guide plate, an optical sheet that is disposed in the front side of the light guide plate, and a liquid crystal panel maintenance member that is disposed in the front side of the optical sheet, wherein the light guide plate and the liquid crystal panel maintenance member hold and fix the optical sheet at one point.
