A sensor transceiver transitions into a first state that is capable of receiving RF waves intermittently. Upon starting to receive a burst signal on RF waves from a vehicle-body system under the first state, the sensor transceiver transitions into a second state that is capable of receiving RF waves continuously. Upon receiving a request signal on RF waves from the vehicle-body system under the second state, the sensor transceiver transmits data on tire pressure to the vehicle-body system.

In a distance estimating system, a first terminal transmits a response request signal and successively transmits impulse signals as synchronization signals, and a second terminal receives the response request signal, generates response data based on the response request signal, shifts a bit, which is a transmission target in a bit string as the response data, by one toward a rear side from a leading bit to a trailing bit each time the synchronization signal is received, transmits the impulse signal in a case where a value of a bit that is a transmission target at a time of reception of the synchronization signal is a predetermined value. The first terminal further measures a round-trip time, specifies a flight time of the impulse signal, and estimates a distance to the second terminal based on the flight time and a propagation velocity of the impulse signal.

A wheel position detection device includes: a transmitter in each wheel of a vehicle having a first control unit for transmitting a frame with ID and an acceleration sensor; and a receiver on a vehicle body, including a second control unit for registering the ID in association with the wheel. The first control unit detects a wheel speed, and stores data of the acceleration sensor in the frame. The second control unit includes: a first determination device that determines a condition that the acceleration sensor is not in an on-state; a candidate registration device that registers a candidate of the ID of a spare wheel when the condition is satisfied; a second determination device that determines a travel history of the vehicle; and a registration device that identifies the ID of the spare wheel when the travel history is present, and registers the ID in association with the spare wheel.

A tire wheel position detection device is provided. The tire wheel position detection device includes a transmitter attached to each tire wheel and including a first controller to transmit a frame including unique identification information, and a receiver including a second controller that performs tire wheel position detection through selecting, from the identification informations included in the frames, candidate identification informations indicating candidates to be registered, and identifying, from the candidate identification informations, the candidate identification informations that match the transmitters attached to the tire wheels, and storing the tire wheels and the identification informations of the transmitters in association with each other. Even if the candidate identification information is identified as the ID information of any of the transmitters, the second controller does not readily fix nor register it but makes a provisional fixing and definitely determines and registers it upon determining it is highly likely.

Tire wheel position detection device and tire pressure monitoring system having the same

A user interface device is provided that includes a hardware interface connectable to different types of external devices and an internal control device configured to perform a single control process to implement one of functions that corresponds to at least one of a type of an external device connected to the hardware interface or whether an external device is connected to the hardware interface. The internal control device executes, from among tasks constituting the single control process, a task that corresponds to timing of inputting a press manipulation using an input switch, blinks the light-emitter at a predetermined speed while the task is in execution, and steadily lights the light-emitter when terminating the task and prompting the user to input a next press manipulation.

A wheel position detector for a vehicle includes: a transmitter at each wheel having a first control portion for generating and transmitting a frame with specific identification information; and a receiver at a vehicle body receiving the frame from one wheel and having a second control portion for performing wheel position detection; and a wheel speed sensor for detecting a tooth of a gear. The second control portion: acquires gear information indicating a tooth position; corrects the tooth position based on a time difference between acquiring of the gear information and receiving time of the frame; and specifies the one wheel based on the tooth position at reception time.

In a tire inflation pressure detection device, a receiver functions such that, when an ignition switch is on, power is generated by a power supply controller to set the power supply state of the receiver to one in which frame reception is enabled to detect the inflation pressure of a tire, and such that, when the IG is off, in each predetermined intermittent cycle power is generated by the power supply controller to set the power supply state of the receiver to one in which frame reception is enabled to detect the inflation pressure of the tire. A transmitter determines whether a decrease in tire inflation pressure occurs, and when the decrease occurs, the transmitter transmits frames more frequently than before the occurrence of the decrease in tire inflation pressure at a shorter frame transmission time interval than a regular transmission cycle during a high-frequency transmission period.

In a wheel position detecting device, a transmission angular position of a transmitter to transmit a frame from the transmitter to a receiver is changed by a predetermined angle each time the transmitter transmits the frame. A receiver acquires gear information indicating a tooth position of a gear rotating in association with a corresponding wheel, based on a detection signal of a wheel speed sensor. The receiver specifies to which wheels the transmitter is integrated, based on the tooth position of the gear at a reception timing of the frame.

Wheel position detecting device and tire pressure detecting apparatus having the same

In a wheel position detector for a vehicle, a transmitter on each wheel repeatedly transmits a data frame containing identification information when an angle of the transmitter reaches a transmission angle. A receiver for receiving the frame is mounted on a body of a vehicle and performs wheel position detection based on the frame to specify a target wheel from which the frame is transmitted. The receiver acquires a tooth position of a gear rotating with a corresponding wheel when receiving the frame and sets a variation allowable range based on the tooth position. The receiver specifies the target wheel by determining whether the tooth position falls within the variation allowable range. The transmitter changes the transmission angle at a predetermined time interval.

In a wheel position detecting device, a receiver acquires gear information indicating a tooth position of a gear rotating in association with a corresponding wheel at a predetermined interval. In a wheel position detection, the receiver sets a variation allowance range based on the tooth position at a reception timing of a frame transmitted from a transmitter integrated to each wheel. When the tooth position of the gear at a subsequent reception timing of the frame is not within the variation allowance range, the receiver excludes the wheel corresponding to the gear from a candidate wheel. The receiver registers the wheel remaining last as the wheel to which the transmitter is integrated. The receiver performs the wheel position detection only when a wheel speed is higher than a predetermined threshold, so that the wheel position detection is performed based on an accurate tooth position.

A wheel position detector for a vehicle includes: a transmitter at each wheel having a first control portion for transmitting a frame with specific identification information; and a receiver at a vehicle body receiving the frame from one wheel and having a second control portion for performing wheel position detection; and a wheel speed sensor for detecting a tooth of a gear. The second control portion: acquires gear information indicating a tooth position; sets a variation allowance based on the tooth position; registers the one wheel with using the variation allowance; and performs the wheel position detection by excluding an identified wheel as the one wheel from a candidate of another wheel mounting the transmitter that transmits another frame when the second control portion identifies the one wheel.

A wheel position detector for a vehicle includes: a transmitter at each wheel having a first controller for generating and repeatedly transmitting a frame with specific identification information and an acceleration sensor; a receiver at a vehicle body receiving the frame from one wheel and having a second controller for performing wheel position detection; and a wheel speed sensor for detecting a tooth of a gear. The second controller acquires gear information indicating a tooth position; sets a variation allowance based on the tooth position; registers the one wheel with using the variation allowance; sets another variation allowance based on another tooth position when the receiver receives a new frame; and changes the variation allowance to a new variation allowance provided by an overlap portion between the variation allowance and another variation allowance.

In a wheel position detector for a vehicle, a transmitter on each wheel repeatedly transmits a data frame containing identification information when an angle of the transmitter reaches a transmission angle. A receiver for receiving the frame is mounted on a body of a vehicle and performs wheel position detection based on the frame to specify a target wheel from which the frame is transmitted. The receiver acquires a tooth position of a gear rotating with a corresponding wheel when receiving the frame and sets a variation allowable range based on the tooth position. The receiver specifies the target wheel by determining whether the tooth position falls within the variation allowable range a predetermined number of times in a row.

A frequency switching terminal is provided to input a signal for switching frequencies of a reception circuit. A smart ECU is connected to the frequency switching terminal via a connection cable. When the signal for switching the frequencies is inputted into an external input terminal of the reception circuit from the smart ECU via the frequency switching terminal, the reception circuit receives a first electric wave transmitted from a portable terminal for smart entry. In contrast, when the signal for switching the frequencies is not inputted into the external input terminal of the reception circuit from the smart ECU via the frequency switching terminal, the reception circuit receives a second electric wave transmitted from a tire sensor.

In-vehicle apparatus

A vehicle receiver system includes: a receiver provided in a vehicle cabin, wherein an operating mode of the receiver includes a first mode for receiving a first wireless signal transmitted from a portable key, and a second mode for receiving a second wireless signal relating to a tire air pressure, transmitted from a transmitter provided on a tire; and a key verification device that performs key verification on the portable key in the vehicle cabin on the basis of the first wireless signal. In a predetermined situation, the receiver is configured such that the operating mode of the receiver is switched between the first mode and the second mode, and proportion of a second mode operation time in which the receiver operates in the second mode is set to be greater when a vehicle speed is relatively high than when the vehicle speed is relatively low.
