A technique for accessing at least one administration server connected to a wide area communication network is disclosed. An access point allowing access to the wide area communication network detects a wireless administration network dedicated to an exchange of administration data with the at least one administration server. Following this detection, the access point connects to this wireless administration network and activates this administration network by itself in repeater mode, in which it repeats data received on said wireless network. This allows a device to exchange administration data with the administration server when a fault affecting its access to the wide area communication network occurs.

Technique for accessing at least one administration server

One embodiment relates to a method for administering a plurality of local devices connected to a local communication network wherein the method is carried out by a local configuration device LACS able to be connected to the local communication network and to a remote configuration device ACS. The method may comprise receiving, from the remote configuration device ACS, a command for administering an administration act, wherein the administration act comprises a service which may be executed on the local communication network. A list of the local devices involved in the execution of the administration act may be determined for the command. At least one administration command for executing the administration act on the local communication network may be transmitted to each of the local devices from the determined list.

Method for administering a plurality of local devices

A technique is provided for remote administration, by an administration apparatus, of a device belonging to a private communication network. The device sends administration data to the administration apparatus via an access network. The administration data includes a first item of connection data and a contact number associated with the device in a signalling network. In order to administer the device, the administration apparatus sends a connection request to the device via the signalling network by using the received contact number. This connection request triggers the establishment of a session by the device with the administration apparatus via the access network.

Technique for remote administration of a device belonging to a private network

The invention relates to a technique for forwarding data packets by a gateway device (). The gateway device ensures an interconnection between the client entities () of a local network () and a communication network (), that is to say forwards packets received from a client entity to the communication network by means of a nominal interface and vice versa. The gateway device identifies at least one device (), termed the relay device, accessible by means of a second interface and able to play a role of relay to forward packets exchanged between a client entity and the communication network. When a packet indicating that a session is initiated is received from a client entity, the gateway device forwards the packets of the session by means of the second interface, when a forwarding selection criterion is satisfied, or by means of the nominal interface in the converse case.
