An automatic pawl winding mechanism for a watch movement has a rotor solidly attached to a rotor wheel and oscillating about the axis of a rotor pivot, a pawl wheel to which an oscillating motion of rotor is transmitted by the rotor wheel being pivoted about the axis of a pawl wheel shaft, at least one pawl being eccentrically attached to the pawl wheel shaft, and an automatic wheel cooperating with the pawl or pawls. The oscillating motion of the rotor wheel is thus transformed into a unidirectional rotary motion of the automatic wheel, and this rotary motion is transmitted to a ratchet wheel via a transformation gear train. The rotor, the gear train from the rotor with rotor wheel to the pawl wheel with the pawl or pawls is mounted on an independent rotor bridge while no other organ of the mechanism is mounted on this bridge.

The display of n+m symbols is achieved by means of an upper disk (1a), placed behind an aperture (2) in a cover plate, and of a lower disk (1b), placed behind the upper disk and comprising m sectors. One sector of the upper disk (1a) consists of a transparent window (4), the other n+m sectors of the two disks bearing the symbols. A gear-train (11, 12a, 12b, 13a, 13b) and a control cam (20), set in motion by a rotary driving member (10), cause the disks to rotate in steps of one sector, starting from a position in which the window (4) is located behind the aperture (2), such as to cause first the two disks to move forward together by one step, then the upper disk (1a) to move forward n successive steps, and finally the lower disk (1b) to move forward m-1 successive steps to return to the starting position. A positioning device (30a, 30b, 31a, 31b) blocks the disks (1a, 1b) when they are stationary, and releases them when required to move forward.

Display device in or for use in a timepiece

A timepiece includes an analogue-type display for displaying the minute at a given moment, constituted by a hand rotated at the rate of one revolution per hour by the mechanism of the timepiece, and a digital-type display for displaying the hour at a given moment, comprising a rotating member for displaying the figure indicative of the hour at a given moment and a drive mechanism for driving the display member which is controlled by the timepiece mechanism and is adapted to rotate the rotating member in jerks at intervals of one hour.

Timepiece

A timepiece includes a clock movement whose axis coincides with the central axis of the case, and a module for displaying the time which is constituted by a unit which is independent of the movement and of the case and whose axis is spaced from the central axis of the case. The elements for coupling the display module to the case are arranged symmetrically about the central axis of the case so as to enable the display module to be arranged in various possible eccentric positions around the central axis of the case.

The present invention has for object a mechanism of transmission comprising two toothed wheels meshing with each other.

Mechanism of transmission

A spring having three juxtaposed elastic blades connected to each other only at each end by two transversal portions. The central blade is cambered in a first direction and the two lateral or outside blades are cambered in an opposite second direction. The width of each blade diminishes to a minimum half-way between the middle of each end to equally distribute stresses applied to the spring, so that no lateral displacement of the spring will take place when it is compressed. The middle portion of the central blade has a protrusion adapted to make contact with an electrical component such as a battery. The two lateral blades each have a downwardly extending tongue at their center portion to bear against a bearing element, so there is electrical contact between the battery and the bearing element via the spring.
