The invention relates to a drive device for a switching tube with a fixed and movable contact part, said movable contact part being controlled by a plastic switch rod (SS) which remains substantially unstressed when the contact parts are connected or disconnected and the force of the contact spring (KF) when the contact parts are connected is approximately fully exerted on the movable contact part of the switching tube. The actuating lever and the pendulum lever are replaced by drive levers (AH, AH') having a triangular contour and which are fitted with a pivoting rotational bearing (SL . . . ) in each corner area, said drive levers (AH . . . ) being provided with a centrical pivoting bearing (SLm) for receiving the rotationally mounted contact spring (KF) and the centrical pivoting rotational bearing (SLm) between an upper pivoting rotational bearing (Slo) connected to the switch rod (SS) and a lower pivoting rotational bearing (SLu) connected to the drive (AT) of the movable contact part and the contact spring (KF) is mounted on one side in a fixed spherical cap guide (KG). The contact pressure force for the drive (AT) of the movable contact part can be regulated by altering the active path length of the contact spring (KF). The active path length of the contact spring can be continuously adjusted by a regulating screw (RS) which is accessible from the outside.

This invention relates to a novel vacuum interrupter. The aim of the invention is for said is for said interrupter to perform the functions switching, disconnection and earthing and to be economically producible. Said aim is achieved by means of a first contact system produced with radial- or axial-magnetic filed contacts, the movable contact of which is connected to the movable contact of a second contact system, comprising annular discs. The stationary contact of the second contact system forms an annular part of the housing to which two tubular insulators are connected. One of the insulators encloses both contact systems and is protected by a screen fixed to the movable contact piece, which separates the plasma physics of the both contact systems.

An actuating mechanism for a vacuum-type interrupter with a contact spring. The actuating mechanism of a vacuum-type interrupter has a pivotally positioned two-armed lever and a spring which holds the contact force ready and which engages with the lever. The two-armed lever is guided with limited displacement in a bearing in a direction which runs approximately parallel to the actuation direction of the interrupter. While enabling, the two-armed lever pivots about a bearing bolt around the end of the bolt guiding until the contact elements engage each other. The further pivoting of the lever takes place around a linkage assembly between the two-armed lever and the actuating impact rod. The two-armed lever can be formed from two parallel split levers with a clearance such that the spring can engage between the split levers. The actuating mechanism is suitable for one or multiple vacuum circuit breakers, e.g., for use in gas insulated switchgear. '

A vacuum switch with a driving device for switching a vacuum-tight switching tube into on and off positions. The vacuum switch includes a movable connecting pin, a drive lever, a spring, and a stop. The spring is connected between the connecting pin and the drive lever. The engagement of the spring and the stop with the drive lever yields lever arms of different lengths. The relative dimensions of the lever arms are such that when the switching tube is in the off position, an opening force cancels a switching-on closing force.

A vacuum circuit breaker (1) having two switching tubes (5) which are electrically connected in series and aligned coaxially. By means of an offset drive unit (toggle lever system 26) two motions that are contrary to one another are produced for the drive tappets (15) of the breaker tubes (5), from the common drive motion of a rod (11). The contact pressure springs (32) of the two switching tubes (5) are directly or indirectly connected to a common stationary support (35) which can be unfastened and moved to a new position. Simultaneous contacting or separation of the breaker elements of the two breaker tubes produced by the common drive is ensured by loosening the bearing block, after releasing the connection with the common drive mechanism, and fastening it again after the force differential has been automatically compensated for. The invention is suitable for vacuum circuit breakers in the medium-voltage range, such as those used to supply power to railroads.

A vacuum switching tube having an evacuated housing in which contacts are disposed movable relative to each other and an improved current lead for such a vacuum tube are disclosed. The current lead comprises a core and a jacket surrounding the core. The core is made of a material with low electric conductivity compared to the jacket and has a helical outer contour. The core can be made by twisting a rod of polygonal or star-shaped cross section. A jacket of a material with relatively high electrical conductivity and with a smooth cylindrical outer contour is applied to the core. The jacket is joined to the core firmly without space between them or is made in one piece with the core.

A driving mechanism for use with pressure contacts wherein the mechanism is provided with a drive means for opening and closing the contacts and wherein the drive means undergoes a driving stroke in bringing the contacts to a closed position. The mechanism is further provided with a closing spring means for actuating the drive means to initiate closing of the contacts and a second spring means responsive to the aforesaid actuation of the drive means and which is cocked there during for actuating the first means to initiate opening of the contacts. In accord with the invention, a pressure spring means for applying pressure to the contacts is also provided; the latter pressure spring means being responsive to the drive means and cocked thereby during a substantial portion of the closing driving stroke.

The invention is directed to an actuator mechanism operating with the energy of a spring which snap actuates an electrical switching apparatus such as a vacuum switching apparatus. The actuator mechanism includes parts which are arranged movably independently of each other, namely, for the cocking motion of the spring and for the switching motion transmitted to the switching contacts of the switching apparatus. These parts cooperate in such a manner that the force of the spring, after being cocked, acts on the part associated with the switching motion automatically. The actuator mechanism is suited, for instance, as a manually operable, fast-acting drive for vacuum power circuit breakers.

An indicating arrangement for indicating the condition of the switching contacts of a switching vessel is provided for a vacuum-switch apparatus having an actuator for opening and closing the switching contacts. The indicating arrangement includes a spring for pressing the switching contacts together when the actuator is actuated to close the contacts. The spring has a length corresponding to the closed position which is dependent upon the wear condition of the contacts. The changes of length of the spring are indicated as the switching contacts are worn from repeated switching operations.

A vacuum switching apparatus is equipped with a switching vessel which can be actuated by a drive unit at ground potential by means of a drive assembly transmitting the drive motion. The drive assembly includes a lever made of insulating material which is fulcrumed about an electrically conductive bearing pin. The lever serves as the actuating member of the switching vessel and the bearing pin is at an intermediate potential between the grounded and the high-voltage-carrying parts. The invention is suited particularly for single-pole or multi-pole vacuum switching apparatus in the medium-voltage range.

The combined current and voltage measuring apparatus has a cast resin body which supports the current measuring unit. The voltage measuring unit includes a capacitive voltage divider with an amplifier connected thereto. The cast resin body is also utilized as dielectric for the capacitor on the high-voltage side of the capacitive voltage divider. Embedded in the cast resin body is an auxiliary capacitor with a dielectric which, with respect to temperature dependence, corresponds to the dielectric of the high-voltage capacitor. The auxiliary capacitor, in series with a resistor, is connected to an auxiliary generator. The voltage dropped across the resistor is supplied, after rectification, to an input of a differential amplifier; the other input of the differential amplifier is connected to the terminal away from ground of the capacitor on the low-voltage side of the capacitive voltage divider. With respect to the capacitors of the capacitive voltage divider, a warming of the capacitor on the high-voltage side different from the warming of the capacitor on the low-voltage side does not influence the measuring accuracy of the capacitive voltage measuring unit of the apparatus.
