A device comprises: an injector for injecting fuel into an engine combustion chamber, a switch formed by an injector housing and an injector nozzle needle and which changes its switching state depending on a closed or open state of the injector, an input line for supplying energy to an actuating element which adjusts the nozzle needle in its two states, an output line for conducting energy away from the actuating element, and an evaluation unit for detecting the switching state of the switch, wherein a first switch contact of the switch is connected to an electrical input line of the injector, a second switch contact of the switch is connected to ground, and the evaluation unit is configured to carry out a signal measurement on the input line and/or an output line to conclude a switch state.

Device for detecting the state of a fuel injector

The present invention relates to a seat plate for an injector, comprising: a planar main body having a first flat side and a second flat side; a passage, which extends through the planar main body from the first flat side to the second flat side; and an indentation region in the first flat side, which indentation region surrounds an opening of the passage. The seat plate is characterised in that a plurality of webs are formed in the first flat side through the indentation region, the ratio of length to width of each web lying in the range of 2.5-3.5:1, preferably in the range from 2.7-3.3:1, more preferably in the range from 2.9-3.1:1.

The present invention relates to a nozzle of a fuel injector that comprises a pivotably symmetrical nozzle body having a hollow space for introducing a nozzle needle, a nozzle tip that is provided at one longitudinal end of the nozzle body and has openings for discharging fuel, a housing contact surface that is provided at the other longitudinal end of the nozzle body and serves the pressing at a housing of a fuel injector, and an overhang surface that is provided in the longitudinal extent of the nozzle body between the nozzle tip and the housing contact service and that serves the placement of a nozzle clamping nut. The nozzle is characterized in that the minimal distance of the pivot axis of the nozzle body from the overhang surface is smaller than the minimal distance of the pivot axis of the nozzle body from the housing contact surface.

Device for controlling an injector, including a passage space which can be closed off on one of its two sides by an armature element in order to thereby optionally separate a fluid high-pressure region from a fluid low-pressure region of the injector, a control space for applying a variable pressure to an injector component, preferably an injector needle, a valve which is arranged between another of the two sides of the passage space and the control space, a first connection which connects the high-pressure region of the injector to the passage space, and a second connection which connects the passage space to the control space, wherein the valve is configured to establish a direct connection between the high-pressure region and the control space if the pressure level in the passage space is equal to or higher than a predetermined value.

Device for controlling an injector

An injector for injecting fuel including an injector housing, a movable nozzle needle with a nozzle needle tip arranged in the injector housing, and a nozzle needle seat for receiving the nozzle needle tip. A contact pairing of the nozzle needle and the nozzle needle seat here represents a mechanical switch that adopts a closed state upon contact of the nozzle needle tip with the nozzle needle seat and an open state upon interruption of the contact. Provision is additionally made that the injector has an input line and an output line for controlling movement of the nozzle needle, the switch has a first connector connected to the input line and a second connector connected to the injector housing, and a resistor connected between the first connector of the switch and the input line.

The present invention relates to an injector for injecting fuel, comprising an injector housing for receiving at least one injector component, and an electromagnet for activating a valve for opening and closing the injector, wherein the electromagnet comprises a coil winding and a magnetic body, wherein the injector housing is formed in one piece with the magnetic body.

The invention relates to a device for sensing the state of an injector, comprising an injector for injecting fuel into an engine combustion chamber, a switch, which is designed to change the switching state thereof in accordance with the state of the injector, and an evaluating unit for sensing the switching state of the switch, wherein a first switch contact of the switch is connected to an electrical input line of the injector, a second switch contact of the switch is connected to ground, and the evaluating unit is designed to carry out a first current measurement for a current flowing into the injector and into the switch and a second current measurement for the current flowing into the injector.
