A pressure sensor for a motor vehicle includes a sensor housing and a base. A pressure bore through the base leads to a pressure space delimited on one side by the base and on the opposite side by a diaphragm connected sealingly to the base. An actuating element is carried on a side of the diaphragm facing away from the pressure space. The actuating element actuates a sensor element in the sensor housing via a non-contact actuation. For protection against leakage due to a break in the diaphragm, a sealing cap surrounds the diaphragm and the actuating element and is sealingly connected to the base.

Pressure sensor

In the case of a pressure sensor (1) a measuring cell (4) is fixed together with a retaining body (9) in a housing (2) of the pressure sensor. For this purpose, the housing (2) has a constriction (15) encircling it on the outside. A contact base (11), which is placed at the top onto the retaining body (9), is fixed by means of an inwardly bent section (18) of the housing (2), with the result that the pressure sensor (1) is closed in a sealed manner. The fixing of the retaining body (9) by means of the constriction (15) means that the pressure sensor (1) is also suitable for particularly high pressures with the risk that the retaining body (9) could slip in the housing (2) due to the pressure acting on the measuring cell (4) being excluded.

Pressure sensor and method for its production

A pressure sensor has a movable diaphragm stretched directly between the annular pressing surfaces of two housing parts, and an electrical measuring device. In an area that is located radially outward as viewed from the pressing surfaces, the diaphragm has a sealing ring that abuts both housing parts. As a result, transverse vibrations of the diaphragm are reliably supported.

Pressure sensor with pivoting lever

A sensor chamber (7) is provided in a holder (5) of a tank insert (4), a pressure sensor (8) being inserted into said chamber. This pressure sensor (8) rests on a circumferential packing (9) of a shoulder (10) of the sensor chamber (7).
