A catamaran-type air cushion craft has two floats (211) arranged spaced apart parallel to one another which are connected together at the top by a connecting structure which carries built-in structures and which is sealed at the bottom by an air-tight transverse deck (216). The connecting structure includes at least two double transverse trussed girders (217) arranged spaced apart behind one another, which at least partially contain transverse hollow cavities (212) for passageways and line accomodating hollow cavities (213, 213'), with containers (214) and longitudinal passage and supply elements (215) being mounted at the front and/or rear sides of the double transverse trussed girders.

Catamaran-type marine craft

In a multiple-hulled marine craft an opening (313) which can be closed in air-tight and water-tight manner by pivotable flaps (314) is located in the transverse deck (312) beneath the connection structure between the two floats (311) (FIG. 2).

Multiple-hulled marine craft

An engine installation for ships with a prefabricated box-like engine module container with an engine and a transmission installed therewithin. The module encloses the engine and the transmission, and has a shaft installation for connection to a main propeller of the ship. The prefabricated module is suspended from an upper portion thereof by force bearing members rigidly mounted on the ship. Between the module and torque transmission equipment rigidly mounted on the hull, there is an axial-radial alignment equalization torque transmitting link.

Engine installation for use in a ship

An exhaust gas system for a ship having at least one internal combustion engine for moving the ship through water, which exhaust gas system includes a first gas passage for conducting engine exhaust gases below the water surface and a second gas passage for conducting the engine exhaust gases above the water surface, and including a control valve responsive to the position of the ship in the water for determining the selection of the first gas passage or the second gas passage to conduct those exhaust gases, with a cooling member provided for the gases conducted by the first passage and having openings to the water for aspirating or passing the water through the cooling member when the ship moves through the water.
