A sound system which has, for example, a radio, a cassette and a CD player is usually already installed in cars as standard or as an option. In addition, a better sound system includes a box system which has a tweeter and a woofer. In order to provide a speaker box which is suitable particularly for dispensing frequencies below 150 Hz and at the same time has neat pulses accompanied at the same time by little distortion, pulse dynamics and is highly effective, a sound transducer () is introduced into the supporting structure of the vehicle. This takes place in such a manner that subcompartments which are separated from each other adjoin each of its two membrane sides. In this case, the two subcompartments of the speaker box are formed by at least two elements () of the supporting structure of the vehicle (). The sound transducer () is particularly integrated into a region in which two elements () of the supporting structure meet each other, thus resulting in an installation position which can be realized in a structurally and economically favorable manner.

In order to produce a powerful bass, bass boxes require a relatively large installation volume, for which insufficient space is frequently available in the interior of a motor vehicle, in particular in a passenger motor vehicle. When drivers and front-seat passengers require the sound installation to have a powerful bass, a bass box requires a volume in the order of magnitude of at least 10 to 15 liters. In order to restrict the physical space which is required for this purpose in the vehicle interior, the active sound transducer of the loudspeaker system is acoustically coupled on its rear face to a resonant area which is formed at least in parts by the cavity within a supporting structure of the vehicle. In this case, the sound transducer is acoustically coupled in the area surrounding an area of the vehicle in which at least two elements of the supporting structure meet one another, such that at least a portion of the resonant area is jointly formed by the cavities in these at least two elements of the supporting structure.

The invention relates to a motor vehicle, in which at least one microphone () is mounted in the headlining) of a passenger cell of the vehicle. The microphone is mounted in a location, which is concealed by a sun visor () that is pivotally mounted on the headlining () when said visor has been pivoted to lie against the headlining (). At least the area () of the sun visor () that conceals the microphone is configured to conduct sound.

The invention relates to a method for temperature management in a network () with ring topology, wherein control devices () exchange data via the network () by means of transmitting/receiving units. The object of the present invention is to find a method and a data bus system which increases the fail safety of a network () with ring topology. For this purpose, the temperature near to the transmitting/measuring unit of at least one control device () is measured. As soon as the temperature at the transmitting/receiving unit () of the control device exceeds a predefined critical temperature T, the transmitting/receiving unit is switched off and wakeup requests put onto the network () by the control devices () are blocked.

Temperature management in ring topology networks

Temperature-sensitive electrical and electronic components which are connected to a board by soldering during the installation process are protected from the heat during the soldering process in order to prevent permanent damage to the components. The solder connections of the component are thermally coupled to a protection apparatus during the soldering process, so that some of the heat which is introduced into the solder connections during the soldering process is passed to the protection apparatus. The protection apparatus also has a protection sleeve, which surrounds the component in places. The protection sleeve is advantageously composed of a thermally insulated material, and is provided with a coating with a high thermal reflection capability in places on its outer wall which faces away from the component.

Method and protection apparatus for installation of a temperature-sensitive electronic component

A vehicle audio system has an audio central unit to which one or more further audio components are connected via an associated first data bus, and are interfaced for data communication between the first data bus and a second data bus of another type in the vehicle. One of the audio components is an audio gateway unit which contains the interface, and is an independent component separate from the audio central unit. In addition to the data bus gateway functions, the audio gateway unit includes further standard audio functions spanning vehicle types or countries, or further audio functions which are implemented so as to be parameterizable according to specific vehicle type and/or country.

An audio system, in particular for motor vehicles, having a loudspeaker installation for supplying sound to an audio chamber and a control unit with a signal detection unit for receiving microphone signals from at least one microphone exposed to the audio chamber outputting the signal to an evaluation unit which extracts interference signals from the microphone signals. The control unit produces control signals on the basis of these interference signals in order to operate the loudspeaker installation. To reduce the complexity for installation of such an audio system, at least one tweeter is connected in the loudspeaker installation as a microphone.
