The invention relates to a method for producing an absorbing sound insulation motor vehicle trim element having a four-layered structure made from a first foam layer, a second foam layer, a non-woven foam layer and a non-woven fabric layer. The invention further relates to an absorbing sound insulation motor vehicle trim element.

The invention relates to an acoustic component contoured in a planar manner or three-dimensionally shaped, namely a firewall of a motor vehicle, and use of said component, said component comprising at least one sound-absorbing material and possibly at least one carrier material, wherein the sound-absorbing material is completely or partially covered by a flow layer at least on a planar side or in a composite of layers, wherein the flow layer has nanofibers.

A 3-dimensional high-strength fiber composite component having isotropic fiber distribution, comprising 25 to 70 wt % of high-strength, high-modulus fibers, up to 5 wt % of binding fibers, and 25 to 70 wt % of thermosetting or thermoplastic matrix. The invention further relates to a method for producing same, comprising the following steps: preparing the fibers by opening the fibers by releasing the fibers from fiber bundles, bales, or textile structures; sucking and/or blowing the opened fibers onto a three-dimensional, air-permeable tool half having the contour of this side of the component in an interactively controlled manner; pre-solidifying the obtained fiber molding in the flock box; transferring the fiber molding onto a pressing tool in the form of the contour of the air-permeable tool half of the component; bringing into contact with at least one liquid plastic; and solidifying the fiber molding by pressing in order to form a component.

The invention concerns a multilayered perforated sound absorber () with a microperforated plastics film () and a thermally deformable absorber () which is a foam layer, a fabric or a fibrous non-woven layer. The invention further concerns a method for producing a corresponding sound absorber.

Multilayered perforated sound absorber

The invention relates to a broadband sound absorber () which comprises a sound-absorbing filler material between two microperforated film webs () which are contiguous on their edges, said filler material optionally containing heavy fillers. The broadband sound absorber () achieves excellent acoustic insulation and has microperforations () all over or only in sections, said filler material optionally containing heavy fillers (mass density) and one or both microperforated film webs () having the same thickness across their surface or thickened portions () of the same or a different material in some sections.

A vehicle undershield is disclosed which is made from a material which is essentially conformed to the shape of the wheel housing and attached thereto, which undershield, due to its shape and structure, provides protection from corrosion by the sandblasting effect, causes reduction of the spray mist occurring on road surfaces wet from rain, and an effective noise damping on roads wet from rain and also on dry roads, having a sound-absorbing design for air-borne sound coming from the side facing away from the wheel, having a very good self-cleaning effect, while having a low weight of the constructional part.

A floor covering characterized as having a strong noise-reducing properties for the interior trim of means of transport. The floor covering has, on the passenger side, a textile or non-textile surface, acoustically coupled through at least one microperforated sheet to a fibrous non-woven and/or foamed plastic. A microperforated sheet having a hole diameter from 0.2 to 0.5 mm and an interhole distance from 3 to 7 mm.

The present invention relates to a sound absorber consisting of a first non-woven fabric facing towards the sound-emitting source having a layer thickness within a range of from 2 to 15 mm, a density within a range of from 50 to 500 kg/m, a weight per surface area within a range of from 0.1 to 2.5 kg/m, and a flow resistance within a range of from 50 to 1000 kNs/m, and a second non-woven fabric facing away from the sound-emitting source has a layer thickness within a range of from 10 to 28 mm, a density within a range of from 20 to 100 kg/m, a weight per surface area within a range of from 0.4 to 1 kg/m, and a flow resistance within a range of from 10 to 40 kNs/m.

A sound-absorbing article which is one of a lining or a shaped element and which has a sound absorptive effect over a broad frequency range particularly useful in transportation vehicle when positioned proximate a reverberant wall, the article including at least one microperforated sheet absorber which has microperforations defined therein having at least one hole diameter ranging from 0.05 mm to 2 mm, which has at least one interhole distance ranging from 1 mm to 20 mm, and which has a proportion of hole area ranging from 0.2 to 4%, based on surface area of the at least one microperforated sheet absorber; and at least one absorber which is at least one of a foam absorber and a non-woven absorber and which is positioned at a preselected spatial distance from a reverberant wall.
