A blind spot warning indication device for an exterior mirror of an automobile includes a light guide member. A plurality of wedge-shaped bosses are arranged side by side along an axis on the light guide member corresponding to a setting direction of the PCB. One side of each of the plurality of wedge-shaped bosses has a light incident end surface for aligning with a corresponding light source. An upper surface of each of the plurality of wedge-shaped bosses includes a light reflecting side having an optical pattern for reflecting and scattering. The reflecting side having the optical pattern is an upwardly convex arc surface. A lower surface of the wedge-shaped boss has a light emitting side. The outermost wedge-shaped boss has the largest curvature of the light-reflecting side compared to the other wedge-shaped bosses arranged side by side, and the outermost wedge-shaped boss has the longest length of the light-emitting side compared to the other wedge-shaped bosses arranged side by side. The device has the functions of reflection and scattering at the same time. The uniformity of the emitted light at the front surface and certain angles is better, and the warning effectiveness is improved. The LOGO pattern can be better combined with the emitted light.

Automobile exterior rear view mirror blind spot warning indication device

A light guiding device for an illumination device, especially for a motor vehicle or an indicator device in a rearview device of a motor vehicle includes a light coupling side for incoupling light from a light source, a reflection side having a reflection layer; and a light outcoupling side, which is disposed generally opposite the reflection side. A clearance between the reflection side and the light outcoupling side generally decreases as the distance from the light incoupling side increases. The reflection side having the reflection layer is configured so that light arriving from the light incoupling side is deflected to the light outcoupling side. The reflection layer may be a paint or lacquer layer that is imprinted or evaporation-coated on the reflection side.

Light guiding device

A housing or pocket for supporting a light guide device for an illumination device, especially for a motor vehicle or an indicator device in a rearview device of a motor vehicle. The housing has a first side which is configured to support the light guiding device for exposure to the pictogram of the reflection layer. The housing also include a second side containing exposed wire connectors to connect the light guide device to a power source. One of the light guide device, the printed circuit board or both structures are fitted with an encapsulation member and secured to the housing through the use of a fixative mount.

A rearview mirror for motor vehicles has a housing and a mirror assembly pivotably supported in the housing. A first Bowden cable arrangement and a second Bowden cable arrangement are connected to the mirror assembly for pivoting the mirror asembly. The first and second Bowden cable arrangements are actuatable so as to act alternatively in a same direction and in opposite directions on the mirror assembly. The first and second Bowden cable arrangements each have a sleeve and a cable enclosed by the sleeve. The cable is pressure-resistant and pull-resistant and is guided without play in the sleeve.

Rearview mirror for motor vehicles

An adjustable rear view mirror, the mirror element of which is supported by a ball-and-socket-like joint, and can be adjusted by two elements that can be actuated by pressure medium. In order to use single-acting adjustment elements, a reset spring is associated with the two elements. This reset spring is disposed on an imaginary line that bisects the angle defined by the two adjustment elements and the ball-and-socket-like joint. This reset spring is expediently a compression spring that is disposed across from the two adjustment elements.
