A telescopic lifting column () preferably for furniture, such as height adjustable tables and beds, and comprising at least two mutually telescopic members () and an electric drive unit () for adjusting the telescopic members. The lifting column comprises a telescopic cable guiding device () for guiding at least one electric cable (), where the telescopic cable guiding device extends between or in all essentials between the lower and upper end of the lifting column and is connected thereto so that the telescopic cable guiding device collaborates in the telescopic adjustment of the lifting column. Thus the cables may be guided in a protected manner.

Telescopic column, preferably for furniture

A linear actuator especially for adjustable furniture comprises a spindle () with a spindle nut () for bringing about the adjustment of the article of furniture. At the end of the spindle () there is a bearing () for mounting of this in the actuator. The spindle/spindle nut () is driven by an electric motor () through a transmission (). For preventing accidents and/or damage during the adjustment of the article of furniture the actuator is equipped with a squeeze protection based on a piezo element (). This piezo element () is arranged in connection with the bearing () for registering the forces or deflections of the forces affecting the spindle (). In that the piezo element () has a through-going hole for the spindle the mounting of the piezo element () is simplified and further it has turned out that a particularly good signal/noise ratio is obtained.

Linear actuator

Height-adjustable work table, preferably kitchen table comprising at least one cabinet on top of which a table top is located. The cabinet(s) is located on a number of electrically driven height-adjustable platforms. In that the platforms are mutually retained by at least one connection rail these appear as stable both during the assembly of the work table and of the assembled table. Between a surface, typically a floor on which the platform is located, and an underside of the cabinet a toe kick is placed. This toe kick is telescopic in height such that the toe kick regardless of the adjusted height of the kitchen table shuts off access under the cabinet. The connection rail may constitute an element of the telescopic toe kick.

Height-adjustable work table

A linear actuator () in which a squeeze protection device is arranged, where the device is located in connection with the rear fixture () on the motor (). The squeeze protection device is based on a piezo element (), which as a module () is built into the actuator (), so that it is passed through by the forces, exerted by the actuator (). The piezo element () is equipped with cables (), which are connected to a printed circuit board () in the actuator (), where the connections for the actuator () are collected, so that the signal from the squeeze protection in an easy manner may be communicated to a control device (), which can stop the motor () or briefly reverse the direction of the movement and thus release a trapped object.

Gear, preferably for actuators of the type, where an electric motor () through the gear drives an activation element, such as a pivotal arm or a longitudinally movable element, and where the gear has at least two gearing stages. The first stage is constituted by a worm drive with a worm&#x2014;() and the subsequent gearing stage is constituted by a crown and bevel wheel (). The crown wheel faces towards the worm drive and has a power take-off () in extension of or in all essentials in extension of the worm () or parallel thereto. The bevel wheel () is with its axis of rotation arranged perpendicular in relation to the axis of rotation of the worm (), and the worm wheel () is in drive connection with the bevel wheel () through a gear train (). Thus a relatively compact transmission with a high gearing is achieved, and by having worm wheels, toothed gearing and bevel and crown wheels of plastic the transmission is in addition silent. A good tooth mesh between bevel wheel and crown wheel is particularly important. The gear may be used in a linear actuator which again may be used in a height adjustable table leg.

In lifting columns () for tables and similar articles of furniture and consisting of pipe profiles () with intermediate slides (), it is a problem that the profiles () have relatively great dimensional tolerances. This means that the gap between two successive sections may vary relatively much, which causes a great play in the column. This is solved in that at least one of these sections () at one of the slides () is formed with a local deformation of the wall inwards toward the slide to press the slide inwards against the following section (). The dimensional tolerances may be neutralized by suitable arrangement and selection of deformations as well as the force with which the deformation is made.

Lifting column preferably for height adjustable tables and method for manufacturing thereof

A linear actuator, in particular telescopic legs for height-adjustable tables, and comprising an outer profile (), a spindle () mounted at an upper end of the outer profile, a transmission () connecting the spindle () with a reversible electric motor, a spindle nut () secured against rotation on the spindle (), an intermediate profile () mounted with its one end on the spindle nut (), a guide at a lower end of the outer profile () for the intermediate profile (), a cord element () secured at the lower end of the outer profile () and connected via a guide with an inner profile (), such that this together with the intermediate profile () is telescopically pushed out of and into the outer profile () by the rotation of the spindle. When the inner profile () is secured against rotation on the intermediate profile (), and the rotational securing of the spindle nut () is constituted by longitudinal guides in the outer profile (), then an actuator is achieved which per se is secured against rotation, i.e., when applied in telescopic legs, there is no need to have a rotational protection via the leg. In general, the structure is slender and may thereby be used in thin telescopic table legs.

An actuator for beds, slatted beds or chairs of the type accommodating, in a cabinet, two drive units based on a spindle and a spindle nut configured as an adjustment element, cooperating with an arm of a rotary shaft for a backrest section and a legrest section, respectively, in the bed, the mattress support or the chair. The two spindles are rotational interconnected and are driven by a common reversible electric motor. By having just one motor and one transmissions, as well as no switching mechanism between the two spindles, a simple and inexpensive structure is provided.

Linear actuator for beds, slatted beds or chairs

An actuator, preferably a linear actuator, a reversible motor which drives an adjustment element via a transmission. To increase the self-clocking ability of the actuator, the actuator is equipped with a coil spring which has its one end secured to a rotating element in the actuator so that the spring is carried along in the rotation on the cylindrical part, which is static in relation thereto. When the motor is turned off, and the load on the actuator tries to displace the adjustment element, the movement of the coil spring is blocked, and the coil spring is tightened around the cylindrical part.

Actuator

In actuators where an electric motor, via a transmission, drives an activation element intended to cause movement of an adjustable element in the structure in which the actuator is incorporated, particularly within the furniture sector, hospital beds and sickbeds. The level of noise may be reduced in that at least the electric motor () is mounted in tightly fitting recess () in a block () of foam plastics or similar vibration/noise damping material. An additional reduction of vibrations/noise is achieved by inserting a claw coupling () with a gasket of rubber or rubber-like material between the individual claws in the claw coupling.
