The tool comprises a tool wheel ( ) which is mounted on a holding arm ( ) and has a tool-wheel parent body ( ) having a machining body ( ) arranged at the outer margin. In one embodiment variant, this machining body is designed as an abrasive body. A base body for accommodating the bearing arrangement is designed in one piece with the holding arm ( ), which also has the supply lines ( ) for the hydrodynamic bearing arrangement and the hydraulic drive. A tool-centering interface ( ) permits the presetting of the tools outside the machine tool.

Tool for machining surfaces in bores

The tool-changing device comprises a tool carrier rotatably mounted in a basic housing by means of a hollow shaft. This tool carrier is driven via a ring motor, the rotor of which is directly connected to the hollow shaft. A servomotor for the drive of tools is provided in the interior of the hollow shaft. Furthermore, the cavity of the hollow shaft also accommodates supply lines for the tools.
