The invention relates to a unit for fixing a base body provided with a housing of a cigar lighter heating element, in particular for motor vehicles. The inventive fixing unit is used for fixing a button actuating said heating element. Said fixing unit comprises a fixing element fixable to the housing of the base body of the heating element and an adapter for fixing the button, wherein said adapter is adjustably inserted into the fixing element and is guided in such a way that it is axially displaceable with respect thereto. The fixing unit makes it possible to mount the button only at a last operation for assembling said heating element, thereby enabling the button, which is embodied in the form of a decorative element, not to be exposed to mechanical stresses produced during an assembling process and to prevent the button damage by assembling operations.

Cigarette lighter having a main unit comprising a substantially cylindrical heating insert and a substantially sleeve-like lighter body to receive the heating insert, comprising a substantially annular attachment of transparent and light-guiding material which is slid onto the main unit, for illuminating a region of the cigarette lighter which is visible to a viewer when the cigarette lighter is in the installed state, which attachment has an entry opening for light to couple light into the attachment to enable the attachment to be illuminated, and comprising a lighting unit, fastened to the attachment, having a receiving unit to receive a lighting insert which can be inserted as an exact fit, the lighting insert having at least one light-producing means, characterized in that the receiving unit is provided with at least one aperture serving as an exit opening for light and in that the lighting insert is arranged in the receiving unit between the entry opening for light in the attachment and the exit opening for light in the receiving unit, the at least one light-producing means facing towards the entry opening for light in the attachment and/or the exit opening for light in the receiving unit.

Cigarette lighter

An electric glow element has a heating-conductor coiled band inside of a glow-coil dish, with a mechanically strong clamped connection between the coiled band and the glow-coil dish. The connection has good electrical conductivity, and is formed by a first bead in the glow-coil dish base wall and a side wall of the glow-coil dish which is concavely curved towards the inside of the dish. A second bead is formed outside of the first bead, and serves to clamp a band end of the heating-conductor coiled band firmly, fixing the heating-conductor coiled band end between the base wall and the side wall. In a second embodiment, a single bead connects the base wall and the curved side wall. The single bead extends below the plane of the base wall, and receives the second band end. The second band end extends out of the coil plane of the coil, and the glow coil is disposed in the interior of the glow coil dish and is oriented so as to have its coil plane generally parallel to the base wall.
