Magazine release apparatus and firearms including such magazine release apparatus are disclosed. An example bolt release for use with a firearm includes a first handle to protrude from a first side of the firearm and a second handle to protrude from a second side of the firearm. The first and second handles are integral. The first and second handles are to enable the bolt release to be operable from the first and second sides of the firearm. The bolt release includes a pivot axis adjacent the first side or the second side. The pivot axis is to enable the bolt release to be pivoted between a release position and a retained position. The bolt release to be biased toward the release position.

Magazine release apparatus and firearms including such magazine release apparatus are disclosed. An example magazine release apparatus for use with a firearm includes a magazine retaining arm including a longitudinal slot, a first handle to protrude from a first side of the firearm and a second handle to protrude from a second side of the firearm. The second handle includes a rocker arm having a feature to be supported on a receiver of the firearm. The first and second handles are actuatable to move the magazine release apparatus between a magazine retaining position and a magazine releasing position. In the magazine retaining position, the second handle is at least partially supported by the longitudinal slot and the feature extends toward the receiver.

A firearm includes a cocking lever, a shoulder-stock receptacle and a shoulder support having a shoulder stock configured to be joined by a connector to the shoulder-stock receptacle. A shoulder-stock adjuster is configured to adjust a position of the shoulder stock relative to the shoulder-stock receptacle along an adjustment axis. A cheek rest is mounted via a bearing on the shoulder stock so as to be movable in a direction parallel to the adjustment axis. A stop is disposed on the shoulder-stock receptacle so as to limit a movement path of the cheek rest towards a front of the firearm. At a position of the cheek rest defined by the stop of the shoulder-stock receptacle, the cocking lever does not collide with the cheek rest, even in a completely retracted state.

Coupling pins for connecting weapon components are described. An example fastener to couple weapon components includes an elongated body defining a first aperture. The first aperture being defined along a longitudinal axis of the elongated body. Tension member and a biasing element being positioned within the first aperture. The elongated body defining a second aperture. The second aperture being defined through a portion of the elongated body to enable a tension element, positioned at least partially within the second aperture, to be urged from the elongated by via an interaction with the tension member. The fastener is insertable into aligned apertures of respective first and second weapon components. The tension element being urged from the elongated body to interact with the second weapon component to urge the second weapon component into further engagement with the first weapon component.

Firing assemblies for use with firearms are described. A firing assembly for use with a firearm includes a hammer pivotably coupled to a hammer shaft. The hammer includes a hammer stop notch that at least partially engages a portion of a lever of a trigger assembly when the hammer is in a cocked position and a control curve section that engages a surface of the lever to retain the lever in an unlocked position as the hammer moves between the cocked position and a firing position. Additionally, the firing assembly includes a control element pivotably coupled to the hammer shaft and adjacent the hammer, wherein the control element includes a first control curve portion that at least partially adjoins the control curve section and wherein the hammer interacts with the control element to change a control curve region as the hammer moves between cocked position and the firing position.

An example adjustable shoulder stock apparatus for use with firearms includes a shoulder stock into which a connecting piece of the firearm is to be inserted. The connecting piece defines a plurality of boreholes. Additionally, the example adjustable shoulder stock apparatus includes a bolt having a end to be inserted in one of the plurality of boreholes to secure the shoulder stock relative to the connecting piece. Further the example adjustable shoulder stock apparatus includes a lever that defines a recess that is open toward a top of the firearm and is closed toward a bottom of the firearm. An opposite end of the bolt is positioned in the recess and coupled to the lever. The lever is to remove the bolt from the one of the plurality of boreholes. The lever comprises a projection to engage a wall of the shoulder stock to prevent movement of the lever past the wall. Further still, the example adjustable shoulder stock apparatus includes a cross pin positioned through the bolt to couple the bolt to the lever, wherein the cross pin does not protrude beyond a molded material of the lever and a plurality of lateral flanks of the shoulder stock in which the lever is positioned.

A connecting piece couplable to a rail of a weapon is described. An example connecting pieces includes a first retaining element including a first receiving region configured to engage a corresponding first counterface of the rail. The example connecting piece also includes a second retaining element including a second receiving region configured to engage a corresponding second counterface of the rail. In addition, the example connecting piece includes a guide slot running diagonally to a longitudinal direction of the rail via which the first retaining element and the second retaining elements are coupled. When one of the two retaining elements is displaced in the longitudinal direction of the rail, at least one of the first retaining element or the second retaining element moves obliquely relative to the other of the first retaining element or the second retaining element following the orientation of the guide slot to move the connecting piece between a working position in which the first receiving region is engaged with the corresponding first counterface and the second receiving region is engaged with the second counterface to a release position in which both the first receiving region and the second receiving region are no engaged with the corresponding first counterface and the second counterface, respectively.

A hand guard system for use with a firearm is described. A holding unit for releasably coupling the hand guard system to a firearm includes a coupling element having an opening, a flange, and at least one coupling portion. The flange and the coupling portion form the opening so that the coupling element is slidably removable about the barrel of the firearm, and an inner surface of the coupling portion engages an outer surface of the barrel nut. The holding unit further includes a sleeve operatively coupled to the coupling element having an inner surface defining an opening so that the sleeve is slidably removable about the barrel of the firearm and the inner surface forms a shoulder and defines a groove distally located from the shoulder and sized to receive a snap ring. The snap ring retains the sleeve to the coupling element such that the shoulder and snap ring are located on opposite sides of the flange of the coupling element. The holding unit further includes a biasing member disposed between the flange and the shoulder of the sleeve to bias the sleeve away from the flange along a longitudinal axis of the barrel. The biasing member enables the sleeve to move between a first position and a second position relative to the coupling element.

Hand guard system for use with a firearm

Methods and apparatus are described for gas cylinder components for use with a firearm with a barrel. The gas cylinder component includes a reception bore for receiving the barrel. Additionally, the gas cylinder component includes a torque-proof fixture that is under pre-stressing, wherein the torque-proof fixture comprises one or more bores tangential to the barrel further including a pin to create spring pinning action. Further, the gas cylinder component includes a foresight that is rotatable around an axis, and a demountable clamping device that secures at least one position of the foresight. The gas cylinder component is under spring pre-stressing and is torque proof on the barrel. Additionally, the gas cylinder component is to lock on the barrel. Further, the engagement of the gas cylinder component on the barrel is to substantially prevent the rotation of the gas cylinder apparatus relative to an axis of the barrel. Further yet, substantially all forces that are introduced to a front of the firearm is absorbed by the gas cylinder component and introduced into the barrel.

Blank cartridge devices for attachment over a muzzle flash suppressor and methods of operating the same are disclosed. A disclosed example includes a muzzle flash suppressor mounted on a barrel that includes a muzzle, a longitudinal bore including internal threading, an inner cone in communication with the longitudinal bore, and a lateral opening located in a side of the muzzle flash suppressor between the inner cone and the muzzle of the muzzle flash suppressor. A disclosed example further includes a blank cartridge device that includes a tube, a cover and a stop block. The tube is sized to penetrate the longitudinal bore of the muzzle flash suppressor, and the tube has external threading to threadingly engage the internal threading in the longitudinal bore of the muzzle flash suppressor. The tube also includes an outer cone to form a seal with the inner cone of the muzzle flash suppressor. The tube further defines a core bore that is in communication with the bore of the barrel. The core bore is blocked by a constriction that defines an injector bore to provide communication between the core bore and a forward portion of the core bore. The core bore is in communication with at least one radial hole. The cover radially circumvents the lateral openings of the muzzle flash suppressor. Also, the stop block receives the tube, and the stop block includes a blind hole in communication with the core bore when the stop block receives the tube and the blank cartridge device is mounted on the muzzle flash suppressor.

Blank cartridge devices for attachment over a muzzle flash suppressor

A blank cartridge device is disclosed. According to one example, the blank cartridge device includes a frame, a threaded bush, a nozzle body, and a cover bushing. In such an arrangement, the frame may include first and second longitudinal sides and front and rear sides, wherein the rear side includes a laterally open recess, and wherein the frame is laterally deferrable on a muzzle flash eliminator of an automatic firearm. The nozzle body may include a male thread on the outer periphery of the nozzle body and may be adapted to be screwed into the threaded bush and to extend into the muzzle flash eliminator. In one example, the nozzle body includes a longitudinal tapped blind hole extending a length within the nozzle body and a spray hole extending from a muzzle at an outer surface of the nozzle body to the longitudinal tapped blind hole and the longitudinal tapped blind hole includes an elongated portion extending beyond the spray hole and having a volume of at least one bullet discharged from the automatic firearm. The cover bushing is connected with the threaded bush, wherein the cover bushing is located over the nozzle body when the nozzle body is screwed into the threaded bush.

A loading indicator for use in a firearm having a barrel including a rear section and a cartridge chamber is disclosed. In one example, the loading indicator includes an elastic shaft disposed within a compartment in the rear section of the barrel and a feeler portion coupled to the elastic shaft, wherein the elastic shaft is loaded to cause the feeler portion to project into the cartridge chamber and wherein the loading of the elastic shaft allows the feeler portion to be displaced when a cartridge is placed into the cartridge chamber. The example implementation further includes an indicator element adjacent the feeler portion and coupled to the elastic shaft, wherein the indicator element projects from the cartridge chamber when the feeler portion is displaced by a cartridge.

A hand-held firearm with a combination lock with number dials rotatable around an axis is disclosed. The lock only permits movement of the bar triggering a shot if the lock is unlocked. The axis of the lock is positioned transversely to the longitudinal axis of the weapon. The combination of the lock is changeable.
