A method for operating an electromotive drive of a textile machine, comprising a contactlessly mounted rotor and catch bearings. The rotor rests on one catch bearing prior to initial operation, and is spaced therefrom by an air gap during stationary operation. A control device allows the rotor to be held in a force-free floating state during stationary operation. The method executes the following steps: (a) inputting an output signal from the control device for maintaining the force-free floating state during operation; (b) calculating the air gap by evaluating the output signal; (c) comparing the calculated value with predetermined limit values; and (d) deactuating the drive when the limit values are passed. The control device comprises a position sensor with at least one sensor coil, at least one actuator coil, a position controller and an integrator, at which the output signal is obtained to determine the air gap.

Method for operating an electromotive drive

The invention relates to an open end spinning device comprising a single-motor driven spinning rotor whose cup is rotationally actuated in the rotor housing which is negatively pressurized and closed by a cover element during a spinning process. According to said invention, the rotor house () is embodied in the form of a central element which is fixable to the frame of a textile machine and connects the control () of the spinning rotor () to the carrier () for the cover element () provided with a fibre band releasing device ().

Method and apparatus for operating an open-end rotor spinning unit

A rotor spinning device with a contactless passive radial bearing for the spinning rotor. A damping device exerts magnetic forces on the rotor shaft ( ) of the spinning rotor by means of operating elements ( ), and in this manner damps radially directed oscillations of the spinning rotor. Rotor spinning device with a contactless, passive, radial bearing for the spinning rotor

A device for the attitude control of a rapidly rotating rotor, especially a spinning rotor, supported in a contactless manner. The device comprises a sensor device for the continuous generation of rotor attitude signals and a control device ( ) that processes the rotor attitude signals and continuously outputs a correcting variable to an actuating device that influences the rotor attitude. The control device ( ) is set up in such that the rise of the waveform of a resultant signal from which the correcting variable is derived is limited to a maximum amount and, upon the occurrence of higher oscillation frequencies of the rotor attitude signals, the oscillation amplitudes of the resultant signal for the actuating device can at the same time be reduced with a small phase error. The device makes it possible to achieve low energy consumption, an expanded controllability and greater operational safety in a simple manner.

Device for controlling the radial orientation of a rapidly rotating rotor supported in a contactless manner

Magnetic bearing arrangement for an open-end spinning device

Damping device for an open-end spinning rotor mounted in a contactless manner

A bearing for the shaft of a spinning rotor of an open-end spinning machine, wherein the shaft is magnetically supported axially and radially without contact by two axially spaced-apart magnet pairs on the shaft and stator housing in dispositions rotationally symmetrical to the axis of the rotor. The magnet pairs have nonidentical magnet poles facing one another and an electromagnetic center position regulator is provided to maintain an axial center position.

Bearing assembly for an open-end spinning machine

An open-end spinning device 1 with a bearing arrangement for supporting a spinning rotor 3, which is seated so it can rotate at high turning frequency and is electrically insulated in relation to the housing of the spinning device and of the bearing. The static charge being created on the spinning rotor 3 during the spinning process is diverted to a grounded component of the spinning device 1 by means of an electrical conducting mechanism. The electrical conducting mechanism 40 is arranged in the area of the axial bearing 18.

A method and apparatus for transmitting data within a textile machine of the type having a central main power supply and many identical work or spinning stations is disclosed with the data being for controlling operational at independently operable work stations, particularly in open-end bobbin winding machines. A separate power supply is included for providing a buffer voltage for use at memories within the individual spinning station central units, with the power supply output being DC voltage at a predetermined level. The DC buffer voltage signal is modulated with the data for transmission to the work station, transmitted to the work station and demodulated thereat for use.

Method and apparatus for data transmission in a textile machine

An automatic textile machine includes a multiplicity of work stations each having its own work station electronics for controlling progress of work done at the work station. A method for detecting a position of a cop carrier carrying a textile cop in the vicinity of a work station includes evaluating mistuning of an oscillator circuit as information with a secondary coil disposed on the cop carrier; detecting the information transmitted by the cop carrier with a sensor device; carrying the information to the work station electronics; and processing the information with the work station electronics to initiate further operations. An apparatus for detecting the position of a cop carrier carrying a textile cop in the vicinity of one of the work stations includes a secondary coil disposed on the cop carrier, and a sensor disposed in the vicinity the winding station. The sensor is connected to the winding station electronics and detects information transmitted by the cop carrier. The sensor has an oscillator circuit to be mistuned by the secondary coil.
