The present invention relates to a composition comprising isosorbide monooleate, a first surfactant selected from the group consisting of an alkyl glycoside having a weight average of the number of C-atoms in the alkyl chain of more than 11, cocoamidopropyl betaine and mixtures thereof, a second surfactant which is an alkyl glycoside having a weight average of the number of C-atoms in the alkyl chain of less than 11 and water. Furthermore it relates to a process for making this composition and to a cosmetic formulation, comprising this composition.

The invention relates to the use of microemulsions, containing (a) at least one alkyl(oligo)glycoside, (b) at least one co-surfactant different from (a), (c) at least one water-insoluble organic oil component, (d) at least one wax, and (e) water, to produce cleaning agents, and aqueous hand dishwashing detergents, containing anionic and amphoteric surfactants and, in amounts from 0.2 to 10 wt % relative to the total weight of the hand dishwashing detergents, a microemulsion according to the description in claim, and cosmetic cleaning agents, containing A) a microemulsion according to the description in claim, B) anionic surfactants, C) cationic polymers, D) optionally additional surfactants, E) optionally cosmetic additives, and F) water.

Cosmetic preparations comprising: (a) a mixture of two or more surfactants selected from the group consisting of (a1) fatty alcohol polyglycol ether sulfates, (a2) fatty alcohol polyglycol ethers, and (a3) alk(en)yl oligoglycosides; and (b) one or more oil components; wherein the mixture of surfactants is present in an amount of from 50 to 80% by weight, and the one or more oil components is present in an amount of from 20 to 50% by weight, based upon a total weight of the mixture and the one or more oil components; are disclosed.
