An apparatus for producing a spun-bond web with a spinneret located above the upper pass of an endless collecting sieve belt below which a suction is generated through an elongated slot extending the full width of that upper pass. Swingable flaps are provided along longitudinal edges of the intake slot and can be swung, e.g. independently, to vary the width and position at which the suction is applied to the underside of the upper pass of the belt.

Lowering mechanism is disclosed for the foil roll in a device for the winding of a foil web, particularly a synthetic-material foil web. A roll core with the finished foil roll can be received at its ends by lowering arms. It can be deposited on a discharge level by means of a lowering-arm drive. The lowering arms can again be raised with the aid of the lowering-arm drive. For each of the lowering arms, the lowering-arm drive has a lowering cam plate, these being identically built, congruently arranged and provided with an outer leading edge, which is basically shaped as a numeral 6. The lowering arms are guided on the leading edge by means of a guide element. The lowering cam plates are driven by a simple electromotor.

A device for winding up a foil web, particularly a foil web of synthetic material, into a foil roll on a roll core, has two swivel arms having roll-core receiving portions at their ends, a contact roller, and an actuating cylinder-piston arrangement for the swivel arms and the roll core drive. The swivel arms are swung according to the indication of the increasing diameter of the foil roll. In the area of the contact roller, a winding device with two swingable winding arms is arranged. A roll-core magazine is assigned thereto, having two magazine disks, which are oppositely located and rotatable about a horizontal axis and have corresponding receiving portions for the roll-core ends. To each magazine disk, a basically L-shaped guiding element is assinged which on the vertical flank of the L has an arched leading edge following the path of the roll-core receiving portions, which--over an assembly trough--continues with a downwardly inclined level which is a discharge edge. The winding device has winding arms swingable about a horizontal axis, which for the purpose of introducing a new roll core coming from underneath, grasp the ends of a roll core located in the assembly trough with their receiving ends and, by entraining the magazine disks and by winding the sectioned foil web over the inclined plane, bring it into contact with the contact roller, where the swivel arms of the device receive the roll core, whereby a further roll core of the roll-core magazine reaches the assembly trough.

Winding up a foil web, particularly a foil web of synthetic material

The apparatus for winding a foil sheet, especially a plastic foil sheet, on a roll core is used in a step in the winding of a foil sheet into a foil sheet roll with a foil sheet winding machine. The apparatus comprises a contacting roll, a roll core receptacle and a cross cutter. A roll core put in the roll core receptacle is placed on the contacting roll and is drivable by it with the intervening foil sheet running to the downstream foil sheet roll. The foil sheet is cuttable with the help of the cross cutter between the roll core and the downstream foil sheet roll. Further the leading end piece of the next following foil sheet formed by cutting is receivable by the roll core. Above the roll core received in the roll core receptacle a foil sheet press device is mounted which is placeable on the roll core by a pivot motion and has a press element travelling with it during pivoting. The press element, advantageously a press belt, embraces the roll core on the side of the roll core facing away from contacting roll and forms an engaging wedge space with the roll core. An air blower tube is located between the engaging wedge space and the cross cutter under the next uncut foil sheet. The blower air streams from this blower tube are directed in the engaging wedge space and/or substantially parallel to the engaging direction of the engaging wedge space to assist in engaging the next following foil sheet on the roll core.
