The invention pertains to a method for estimating faults in a three-dimensional seismic image block. Directrices are generated within respective first cross-sections of the seismic image block based on points selected by a user. Similarly, generatrices are generated within respective second cross-sections of the block based on points selected by the user. The user inputs relationships between directrices and generatrices. A fault is estimated within the seismic image block as a surface including at least one directric and at least one generatrix having a relationship therebetween.

Method for estimating faults in a three-dimensional seismic image block

A device, computer program and related method for processing a first seismic signal that includes identifying one portion of a second seismic signal and determining a length of a seismic wavelet. It is also possible to train a neural network by using a plurality of sub-portions of said portion a input variables and at least one second piece of information as a target variable. Said sub-portions of the portion have a length dependent on the length of the seismic wavelet determined. Finally, the method includes determining at least one first piece of geological information based on the first seismic signal using said trained neural network.

Method and device for processing seismic signals

The present invention relates to method for processing an image, said image representing a rock sample. The method comprises receiving said image; for each current threshold value in a plurality of threshold values determining a threshold image, the threshold image having pixels associated with a first color value or a second color value, the determination of the threshold image being based on the received image and the current threshold; and for each current connected set of pixels associated with the first color value in the threshold image, determining a connected volume or a connected surface area of said current connected set of pixels. In addition, the method comprises determining numbers of connected sets of pixels associated with the first color value for a plurality of connected volumes or connected surface areas and for a plurality of thresholds.

Image processing for classification and segmentation of rock samples

The present invention relates to a method to process a three dimensional seismic image. The method comprises, for a center point and for a plane comprising said center point, determining a first maximal correlation between a first vector of the seismic values associated with at least a point of the seismic image having a distance to the center point below the predetermined distance and on a first line, and a second vector of the seismic values associated with points on a second line parallel to the first line, determining a second maximal correlation between the first vector, and a third vector of the seismic values associated with points on a third line parallel to the first line, and determining a difference value based on at least a difference between the first maximal correlation and the second maximal correlation.

Method and device to process a three dimensional seismic image

The present invention relates to a method of processing seismic image of the subsurface. The method comprises determining two surfaces in the seismic image, the two surfaces being extracted from well data from at least on well in the subsurface; determining the dip components the first surface and the second surface; determining interpolated dip components based on dip components of the two surfaces; determining an interpolated surface based on at least the interpolated dip components; determining a density value based on a number of intersections of the determined surfaces with a column comprising said current pixel; determining a geological-time image, columns of said geological-time image are computed based on the density values of pixels of a corresponding column of the seismic image; and on the color value of pixels of the corresponding column of the seismic image.

Method of processing seismic image of the subsurface

The processing comprises an analysis of a seismic image to estimate seismic horizons in an area of the subsurface and the calculation of an accumulation value associated with each pixel of the seismic image by accumulation along a set of estimated seismic horizons to form a synthesized image composed of accumulation values. This synthesized image is transformed to obtain a seismic representation in which signed amplitudes are allocated to the pixels of the synthesized image. The transformation may comprise a combination with the original seismic image or else a convolution with a wavelet or another convolution kernel.
