An air conditioner that includes a compressor that compresses a refrigerant, a main outdoor heat exchanger that condenses the refrigerant in a cooling mode and that evaporates the refrigerant in a heating mode, an indoor heat exchanger that evaporates the refrigerant in the cooling mode while condensing the refrigerant in the heating mode, a switch that guides the refrigerant discharged from the compressor to the main outdoor heat exchanger in the cooling mode and that guides the refrigerant discharged from the compressor to the indoor heat exchanger in the heating mode, and a sub outdoor heat exchanger that evaporates a portion of the refrigerant condensed in the main outdoor heat exchanger in a low-load cooling mode and that condenses a portion of the refrigerant discharged from the compressor in a low-load heating mode.

A regenerative air-conditioning apparatus includes a thermal energy storage unit, first and second valve devices for switching a flow direction of a refrigerant compressed in a compressor, a first branch part disposed on an outlet-side of the compressor, the first branch dividing the refrigerant compressed in the compressor to flow into first and second valve devices or the thermal energy storage unit, a first storage unit connection tube extending from the first branch part to the thermal energy storage unit, a condensed refrigerant tube extending from an outdoor heat exchanger to an indoor heat exchanger, a second storage unit connection tube extending from the thermal energy storage unit to the condensed refrigerant tube, and a first expansion device disposed in the first storage unit connection tube to selectively restrict a flow of the refrigerant from the first branch part to the thermal energy storage unit.

Regenerative air-conditioning apparatus and method of controlling the same

An air conditioner is provided. The air conditioner may include a compressor, an outdoor heat-exchanger, an indoor heat-exchanger, a converter valve, an accumulator, an accumulator jacket, and a supercooling heat-exchange hub. The accumulator jacket may be disposed on a surface of the accumulator and contain a refrigerating fluid flowing therein. The refrigerating fluid may exchange heat with the accumulator to be cooled. The supercooling heat-exchange hub may be connected to the accumulator jacket to store the cooled refrigerating fluid and overcool the refrigerant flowing between the outdoor heat-exchanger and the indoor heat-exchanger.

A heat pump including a boiler is disclosed. The heat pump may include a quick-hot-water-supply tank and the boiler, which may be operated selectively based on a temperature of external air or an electric power rate per unit heat quantity.

A heat pump-type hot water supply apparatus may be provided that includes: a refrigeration cycle circuit (including a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, expansion devices, and an indoor heat exchanger); a hot water supply heat exchanger connected to the refrigeration cycle circuit to use the first refrigerant discharged from the compressor for a hot water supply; a cascade heat exchanger connected to the refrigeration cycle circuit to allow the first refrigerant passing through the hot water supply heat exchanger to evaporate a second refrigerant and thereafter, to be condensed, expanded, and evaporated in the refrigeration cycle circuit; a heat storage compressor compressing the second refrigerant evaporated in the cascade heat exchanger, a heat storage tank to heat water using the second refrigerant compressed by the heat storage compressor, and a heat storage expansion device to expand the second refrigerant condensed in the heat storage tank.

Heat pump type hot water supply apparatus

A heat pump type speed heating apparatus, comprising: a cooling cycle circuit to circulate a first refrigerant to operate air conditioning, the cooling cycle circuit including a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion apparatus, and an indoor heat exchanger, a hot water supply compressor to compress a second refrigerant, a hot water supply heat exchanger to condense the compressed second refrigerant and to heat water, a hot water supply expansion apparatus to expand the second refrigerant from the hot water supply heat exchanger, and a cascade heat exchanger, connected to the cooling cycle circuit, to evaporate the second refrigerant expanded at the hot water supply expansion apparatus, and the first refrigerant to undergo condensation, expansion, and evaporation in the cooling cycle circuit.

Heat pump type speed heating apparatus

A heat pump-type hot water feeding apparatus includes a cooling cycle circuit, a heat storage tank, and a hydro kit heat exchanging unit, wherein the hydro kit heat exchanging unit is connected to the cooling cycle circuit, wherein during a heat storage mode operation that stores heat in the heat storage tank, heat of the first heat transfer fluid, which is heat exchanged in the first heat exchanger, is stored in the heat storage tank or heat of the first heat transfer fluid, which is heat exchanged in the first heat exchanger and heat of the second heat transfer fluid, which is heat exchanged in the second heat exchanger, are simultaneously stored in the heat storage tank.
