A method of converting cellulosic feedstock to bio coal. The cellulosic feedstock in a carrier of process fluid is introduced within a conduit having substantially linear portions connected by curved portions creating a serpentine structure. The substantially linear portions are surrounded by tubular sleeves creating annular spaces between the tubular sleeves and substantially linear portions for carrying a high temperature fluid for transferring thermal energy to the cellulosic feedstock and process fluid. The cellulosic feedstock is maintained in an oxygen-free environment. The method is continuous as the cellulosic feedstock in process fluid is subjected to a plurality of mixing elements characterized as having no edges perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the plurality of substantially linear segments and which are sized and positioned within the plurality of substantially linear segments such no mixing elements are in contact with one another resulting in an open region of travel for fluids passing from the conduit inlet to conduit outlet.

Torrefaction process

Systems and methods for rinsing beverage residue from a mechanical interface between threads of a bottle and threads of a bottle cap is described. The bottle cap may include a sealable coating to create a seal against a rim of the bottle. The bottle cap may also include passages to allow pressurized water to be injected into an upper inner region of the bottle cap. The pressurized water is prevented from entering the bottle due to the seal between the rim of the bottle and the sealable coating of the bottle cap. Therefore, the pressurized water is caused to escape through the mechanical thread interface toward a lower inner region of the bottle cap where the water escapes from the cap at atmospheric pressure.

Bottle cap thread rinsing system

An element for use in stationary material mixing and distribution. The element has an element longitudinal axis and a web positioned along the element longitudinal axis. A ramp is connected to a first end of the web and oriented diagonally thereto. A diverter is positioned on a first side of the web and a diverter is positioned on a second side of the web. First and second ears are bent respectively in upward and downward directions relative to the longitudinal axis. A rectangular member whose plane of orientation is substantially perpendicular to the web is provided as well as a third ear in the plane of orientation of the rectangular member extending from the rectangular member to the web.

Custody transfer mixing apparatus

A stationary material mixing apparatus located within a cylindrically-shaped conduit. The material mixing apparatus includes a front face, rear face, cone-shaped module having a base and apex supported on said front face and extending toward an upstream end of the conduit. A channel for introducing an additive to the fluid stream is provided, the additive being introduced at the apex of the cone-shaped module, the material mixing apparatus further being provided with three circular openings positioned 120 degrees from each other and each having a baffle configured therein.
