A device is shown for filling a wildlife feeder with material. The device has a primary conduit and a pressure source connected to the primary conduit for propelling air through the primary conduit. A secondary conduit extends from the primary conduit such that at least a portion of the air flowing though the primary conduit flows through the secondary conduit and into a primary receptacle wherein a pressure is created inside the primary receptacle that is equal to or greater than the pressure in the primary conduit. The primary receptacle has a sealable feed port for receiving material to be conveyed and an outlet connected to the primary conduit down stream from the pressure source and the secondary conduit such that material can pass from the primary receptacle by gravity flow through the outlet and become entrained in the movement of the air created by the pressure source and into a secondary receptacle which is located at an elevated location.

Wildlife and fish feeder

Scum skimmer apparatus having a skimmer blade slideably disposed on support rods extending downwardly from an oscillating bridge which is moveable over the clarifying tank in a biological waste treatment plant. An air tight ballast chamber is secured to the skimmer blade having a source of air communicating with the ballast chamber, the source having a valve for controlling the air flow. As the bridge moves toward the scum trough at one end of the clarifying tank the air is evacuated from the ballast chamber, allowing the blade to engage the surface of the liquid. Upon moving away from the scum trough air is pumped into the ballast chamber providing a buoyancy force which raises the skimmer blade away from the surface. When the opposite end of the clarifying tank is reached the skimmer blade is lowered back to the water by venting the air out of the ballast chamber. A circular treatment tank is provided having spaced concentric walls with partitions therebetween forming alternate aeration and clarifier zones on the periphery thereof with a central digester zone such that separate aeration zones may be used for organic carbon removal and nitrogen removal.

Scum skimmer apparatus

An improved scraper to scrape the sludge from the bottom of a clarifying tank in a biological waste treatment plant. The scraper is Y-shaped, having two angularly spaced blades which move under the sludge at such an angle as to lift the sludge onto the blade such that the sludge urges the scraper in wiping relation with the bottom of the tank. The scraper is suspended by flexible cables from support arms which extend outwardly from an oscillating bridge moveable over the top of the clarifier in the clarifier tank drawing the flexible cables over support rollers as the bridge approaches the partition to lift the scraper upwardly as the scraper approaches the partition to prevent sludge from being trapped against the partition.
