A patient monitor () acquires a vital sign that is based on a physiological signal of a subject, and an ultrasonic image that is based on a reflected wave of an ultrasonic wave which is irradiated onto the subject. A display section () displays information of the subject. A control section () switches between a first mode in which a screen containing information of the vital sign is displayed on the display section (), and a second mode in which a screen containing the ultrasonic image is displayed on the display section ().

A physiological information measurement apparatus is configured to acquire a vital sign that is based on a physiological signal of a subject, and a captured image or a signal for generating the captured image that is acquired from an imaging device. The physiological information measurement apparatus includes a storage unit configured to store therein an electronic file, and a control unit configured to display at least one of the captured image and information of the vital sign on a display unit. At an image recording timing when an image recording instruction is provided, the control unit stores both the captured image and the information of the vital sign in the storage unit in an image format.

A physiological information system includes a patient monitor configured to acquire a vital sign based on a vital sign signal of a subject, and an ultrasonic measuring apparatus configured to acquire ultrasonic images based on ultrasonic waves transmitted toward the subject and received from the subject. A patient monitor that acquires a vital sign through a measurement sensor, and that is to be connected to an external measurement apparatus for measuring another vital sign, includes a master clock that is disposed in the patient monitor, and that manages common time information, a first operating system that manages first time information, and a second operating system that manages second time information, and that transmits and receives data to and from the external measurement apparatus. When a predetermined event occurs, the first operating system reads the common time information from the master clock, and updates the first time information. When the predetermined event occurs, the second operating system reads the common time information from the master clock, updates the second time information, and notifies the external measurement apparatus of the updated second time information or the common time information.
