A terminal includes a connection part electrically connectable to a mating terminal, and a crimp part capable of crimping a cable. The connection part includes a first base having electrical conductivity, and a first plating layer that covers the first base, has a Vickers hardness of 250 Hv or more, and contains silver alloy containing silver. The crimp part includes a second base having electrical conductivity, and a second plating layer that covers the second base, has a Vickers hardness of less than 225 Hv, and contains either silver or silver alloy containing silver.

A terminal-equipped electrical wire according to a first aspect of the present invention includes an electrical wire having a conductor and an electrical-wire coating member covering the conductor, and a crimp terminal having a crimp-terminal main body electrically connected to the conductor of the electrical wire, and an anticorrosive plating layer provided to a portion of a surface of the crimp-terminal main body, the portion being in contact with at least the conductor of the electrical wire. The conductor is made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, and the anticorrosive plating layer is made of a Ni&#x2014;Zn alloy having a Zn content of 69 to 78% by mass.

A terminal plating material includes a metal substrate, and a silver-tin alloy plating layer containing a silver-tin alloy, arranged on the metal substrate. The silver-tin alloy plating layer contains an intermetallic compound of silver and tin, the Vickers hardness of the surface of the silver-tin alloy plating layer in the terminal plating material is 250 Hv or more, and the surface roughness of the silver-tin alloy plating layer is 0.60 &#x3bc;mRa or less. Further, a terminal is formed from the terminal plating material. A terminal-equipped electric wire includes the terminal. A wire harness includes the terminal-equipped electric wire.

There is provided an electrical contact member including: a conductive base material; and an Ag&#x2014;Sn alloy plated layer formed on the conductive base material, wherein the Ag&#x2014;Sn alloy plated layer has a first Ag&#x2014;Sn alloy plated layer having an Sn concentration of 5 to 38 at. % and a Vickers hardness of 100 or more Hv and less than 300 Hv and a second Ag&#x2014;Sn alloy plated layer having a Vickers hardness higher than that of the first Ag&#x2014;Sn alloy plated layer in this order from the outermost layer.
