A monitoring system monitors a monitoring object apparatus sufficiently for practical use while suppressing battery power consumption. The sensor terminal transmits the requested image data with the requested resolution to the manger terminal in response to the request from the manager terminal.

A class-D amplifier circuit of one aspect includes a gain controller, a pulse-width modulator, an output driver, and a drive controller. The gain controller selectively amplifies an analog input signal according to a level control signal, and outputs a corresponding gain-adjusted analog input signal. The pulse-width modulator converts the gain-adjusted analog input signal into a pulse signal. The output driver includes a plurality of output driver circuits which generate an amplified pulse signal corresponding to the pulse signal output by the pulse-width modulator. In an amplifying circuit, a first and a second switches are provided between an input terminal and output terminal of coupling capacitor and amplifier, and these switches are set in OFF state in a power-down state, and the second switch is turned on for a specified period when changed over to ordinary operation, and the capacitor is charged to a bias voltage corresponding to direct-current operating point, and then the second switch is turned off, and the first switch is turned on, and the mode is shifted to the ordinary operating state. Therefore, in a power-down state, a popping noise can be suppressed without resort to a charger for preliminarily charging the capacitor in a power-down state, and increase of current consumption due to charger is eliminated.

Amplifying circuit

An amplifier circuit includes a first clock generator and a pulse width modulator. The first clock generator outputs a first clock of which frequency is dependent on the voltage level of a power supply voltage. The pulse width modulator generates a signal having a duration proportional to data based on the first clock.

Amplifier circuit

A control circuit includes a plurality of drive current output circuits, a control voltage generating circuit, a first current output circuit, a second current output circuit, a voltage divider and a compensation voltage generating circuit. The voltage divider has one end connected to the control voltage generating circuit and a plurality of nodes each of which connected to the respective drive current output. The drive current output circuit outputs the control voltage to the drive circuits based on a power supply voltage and the control voltage. The compensation voltage generating circuit outputs a compensated voltage based on the difference between the current outputted from the first current output circuit and the current outputted from the second current output circuit. In order to supply the compensation voltage to the other end of the voltage divider, the values of the respective control voltage are equalized.
