A rotary encoder includes: an axis holding unit that holds a rotary axis member; a rotary slit plate that rotates around a rotary axis of the rotary axis member; a fixed slit plate that is arranged so as to face the rotary slit plate; a light emitting unit; a light receiving unit that receives the light emitted from the light emitting unit; and a fixed slit table that has a first positioning unit that is attached with the fixed slit plate and positions the fixed slit plate, and a light emitting unit holding unit that holds the light emitting unit. The first positioning unit has an abutting unit and a deformation unit. The fixed slit plate is arranged in between the abutting unit and the deformation unit while the fixed slit plate abuts to the abutting unit, by the deformation unit that has deformed.

Rotary encoder

A motor is provided that is capable of eliminating the need to prepare (develop, manufacture, or possess) motor bodies and rotary encoders of multiple different specifications by facilitating connections to motor bodies or rotary encoders having different contact positions. In a motorincluding a motor body and a rotary encoder, the motor body includes a motor body side connector with a motor body side contact and the rotary encoder includes a rotary encoder side connector with a rotary encoder side contact. The motor body side contactand the rotary encoder side contact are electrically connected. One or both of the motor body side contact and the rotary encoder side contact have a shape extending in a radial direction.

An encoder includes: a base member; a printed board fixed directly or indirectly to the base member; and a cover member fixed to the base member while the printed board is arranged inside the cover member. A first enclosed space and a second enclosed space are formed inside the cover member. The first enclosed space is space in which the printed board is arranged entirely or partially in an enclosed state. The second enclosed space is formed between the first enclosed space and the cover member.

Encoder

A rotary encoder is for detecting the rotation position or rotation speed of a shaft. The rotary encoder includes: a rotation code plate having a detection code and to be rotated by the shaft; and a boss attached to the rotation center of the rotation code plate and used for attaching the rotation code plate to the shaft. The boss is made of a resin material. The boss includes a fitting hole formed at the rotation center of the boss and used for making a fit with the shaft through press-fitting.

In an optical encoder which includes a rotary plate formed with a plurality of slit arrays and a plurality of light receiving parts corresponding to the slit arrays, at least one of the outer edge of a light receiving part located on the outer side of the optical axis X of light emitted from a light emitting part and the inner edge of the light receiving part located on the inner side of the optical axis X is positioned at a greater distance from the optical axis than the edge of the slit array corresponding to the light receiving part.

Optical encoder for preventing crosstalk

An encoder able to maintain liquid-tightness over a long period of time. The encoder is provided with a housing unit holding component parts of the encoder. The housing unit is formed by a housing and a cover closing an opening part of the housing. At a boundary part of the housing and the cover, an O-ring is placed. The housing is formed with a guide groove at the outside in the radial direction from the O-ring and a discharge guide groove communicated with the guide groove and opening toward the outside in the radial direction. The cover is formed with a ring-shaped guide projection projecting out toward the guide groove at a position corresponding to the guide groove.

Encoder having liquid-tight structure

In a rotary encoder of the present invention, each track of a rotary disk has transmitting parts and non-transmitting parts alternately arranged in the circumferential direction. Each non-transmitting part has a plurality of projecting parts which are arranged side by side in the circumferential direction. Each projecting part has a pair of reflecting surfaces which retro reflect incident light toward a light emitting part. A plurality of tracks include a periodic track where transmitting parts and non-transmitting parts are arranged with a periodic pattern and non-periodic tracks where transmitting parts and non-transmitting parts are arranged in a non-periodic pattern. The periodic track and non-periodic track are respectively arranged at positions in the radial direction where further reflected light at the light emitting part after retro reflection at the reflecting surfaces of the non-periodic track will not enter the periodic track.

A reflective optical encoder, which is inexpensive and is compact in the axial direction thereof. An encoder has a generally circular code plate fixed to a rotating body such as a rotation shaft of a motor; and a light emitting unit and a light receiving unit which are positioned near a first major surface of the code plate. The code plate is made from a light transmissive resin, and on the first major surface, an incidence portion with a concavo-convex shape and an emission portion with a concavo-convex shape are formed. On a second major surface opposed to the first major surface, a transmission portion formed from a concavo-convex shape and configured to transmit light, and a total reflection portion formed from a flat surface and configured to totally reflect light, are formed, wherein the transmission portion and the total reflection portion constitute a code pattern section.
