A discharge device includes a discharge member, a support portion, and a protruding piece. The discharge member discharges when a voltage is applied thereto. The support portion has a flat-plate shape and supports the discharge member. The protruding piece is inclined relative to the support portion and protrudes in a direction intersecting the support portion. The support portion preferably includes a holding portion that holds the discharge member. The discharge member is preferably a bundle of fibers. The support portion preferably includes a pair of first surfaces. The holding portion preferably holds the discharge member on one first surface of the pair of first surfaces. The protruding piece is preferably inclined, relative to the support portion, in a direction in which the discharge member is located.

Discharge device

A discharge device is housed in a housing portion of a holder. The discharge device includes a housed section and a discharge electrode protruding from the housed section. The housed section is housed in the housing portion. The housed section includes a bottom wall and two side walls. The two side walls oppose each other in a longitudinal direction of the bottom wall. At least one of the two side walls is connected to the bottom wall via a curved surface. The curved surface guides a corner of the housing portion when the housed section is housed in the housing portion. As a result, the housed section is housed in the housing portion without catching on the corner.

An ion generation device includes a discharge electrode substrate, an induction electrode substrate, and an insulating resin. The discharge electrode substrate on which a discharge electrode is mounted and a first electrode connected to the discharge electrode is formed. The induction electrode substrate on which an induction electrode configured to generate a discharge between the induction electrode and the discharge electrode and a second electrode connected to the induction electrode are formed. The insulating resin is filled at least between the discharge electrode and the induction electrode. The insulating resin provides insulation between the discharge electrode and the induction electrode. The first electrode and the second electrode are disposed and face each other at least partially. The first electrode, the second electrode, and the insulating resin interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode form a capacitor.

Ion generation device, discharge substrate, and electronic device

A discharge device includes a connector portion, an electrode portion, and a housing portion. A voltage is applied to the connector portion externally. The electrode portion discharges by boosting and supplying a voltage from the connector portion. The housing portion houses the connector portion and the electrode portion. The housing portion includes a step portion between the connector portion and the electrode portion. The step portion is, for example, a recess.

Discharge device with minimal noise generation

Provided is a discharge device that can improve the efficiency of generating reactive species. A discharging unit that discharges in response to an application of a voltage protrudes from a housing. The discharging unit is disposed in a duct through which gas flows. An upstream support is disposed upstream of the discharging unit in a direction of gas flow without overlapping the discharging unit. The upstream support protrudes further from the housing than the discharging unit. The upstream support includes a root portion joined to the housing. The root portion includes a widened portion that is disposed in the duct and that protrudes toward the discharging unit when viewed in the direction of gas flow.

Provided is a discharge device that can improve the efficiency of generating reactive species. The discharge device includes a discharging unit, which has a tip end and discharges from the tip end in response to an application of a voltage, an induction electrode, which forms an electric field between the induction electrode end the discharging unit, and a second electrode, which is disposed between the discharging unit and the induction electrode and receives a voltage having a polarity the same as a polarity of the voltage applied to the discharging unit.

An ion generation apparatus that can facilitate the separation of adhering materials from a discharge electrode and efficiently generate ions includes an induction electrode, and a discharge electrode for generating ions between the discharge electrode and the induction electrode. The discharge electrode has a plurality of filament-like conductors, and a joining portion to tie the bottoms of the conductors together. The induction electrode is arranged at the bottom side of the conductors.

Ion generation apparatus and electrical equipment

In an ion generation apparatus, induction electrodes are formed on a surface of a substrate, holes are provided inside the induction electrodes, respectively, needle electrodes are disposed in a substrate, and tip end portions of the needle electrodes are inserted into the holes, respectively. Furthermore, a part of each of the induction electrodes is removed, thereby reducing the size of the substrate for entire size reduction. A discharge device capable of maintaining a stable discharge performance even in a highly humid environment or an atmospheric environment containing salt includes a discharge electrode discharging when a voltage is applied thereto, a substrate supporting the discharge electrode, an induction electrode arranged apart from the discharge electrode, and an insulator enclosing all of the substrate and the induction electrode. The discharge electrode has a root portion supported by the substrate, a pointed end protruding from a surface of the insulator, and a taper portion tapering from the root portion toward the pointed end. An outer peripheral surface of the root portion is made of a material having an ionization tendency lower than that of hydrogen.

A housing, a substrate accommodated in the housing, a needle electrode for generating ions through discharging, which is held by the substrate such that a tip end portion protrudes outside the housing, an insulating sealing portion insulating and sealing the substrate in the housing, and an electrode protection portion for protecting the needle electrode outside the housing are included. The housing is provided with an opening portion through which a side of the tip end portion of the needle electrode is inserted and which is sealed with the insulating sealing portion. The electrode protection portion has a first protection portion and a second protection portion which are provided to protrude from the housing relative to the tip end portion of the needle electrode and opposed to each other at a distance from each other on opposing sides of the needle electrode.
