A connector (), into and from which a connection object () is insertable and removable, includes an insulator () including an insertion portion () in which a connection object () can be inserted and a first contact () mounted on the insulator (). The first contact () includes a contact piece () and a resiliently deformable resilient portion (). The contact piece () includes a contact portion () configured to be connected to a signal line () of the connection object () in a fully inserted state where the connection object () is fully inserted in the insertion portion () and a removing portion () located closer to an insertion opening () of the insertion portion () than the contact portion (). The removing portion () is configured to be connected to the signal line () in a partially inserted state where the connection object () is partially inserted in the insertion portion (). The removing portion () is configured to be apart from the connection object () when the resilient portion () is resiliently deformed in the fully inserted state.

A connector () according to the present disclosure includes an insulator () including an insertion space portion () into and from which a cable () including a to-be-locked portion () can be inserted and removed, an actuator () including a locking portion () and supported by the insulator () rotatably about a rotation axis (C) between a lock position at which the to-be-locked portion () and the locking portion () engage with each other when the cable () is in an inserted state and an insertion/removal position at which the cable () can be inserted into and removed from the insertion space portion (), and a biasing member () supported by the insulator () and including an abutting portion () that abuts on the actuator (), the biasing member () applying a force to bias the actuator () toward the lock position through the abutting portion (), wherein the locking portion (), the abutting portion (), and the rotation axis (C) are positioned apart from one another in an insertion/removal direction in which the cable () is inserted into and removed from the insertion space portion ().

A connector () according to the present disclosure includes an insulator () including an insertion space portion (), an actuator () supported by the insulator () rotatably about a rotation axis (C) toward a lock position at which the actuator () locks a cable (), and a biasing member () supported by the insulator () and including an abutting portion () that abuts on the actuator (), the biasing member () applying a force to bias the actuator () toward the lock position through the abutting portion (), wherein the actuator () includes an extending portion () extending in a direction orthogonal to both an insertion/removal direction in which the cable () is inserted into and removed from the insertion space portion () and an extending direction of the rotation axis (C), and a hook portion () formed at an end of the extending portion () and positioned to face the insulator () in the orthogonal direction, and the rotation axis (C) is positioned between the hook portion () and the abutting portion () in the insertion/removal direction.

A connector () according to the present disclosure includes a holder () holding a cable () including a conductor () and an insulating coat () covering the conductor (), and a socket () with which the holder () is to be engaged and including a contact (). The holder () includes a base portion () holding the cable () by being integrally molded with the cable () and in which a portion of each of the insulating coat () and the conductor () of the cable () is embedded, and an extension portion () covering at least a portion of the conductor () and extending from the base portion () toward a side of connect with the socket (). The holder () exposes a part of the conductor () of the cable () in contact with the contact () in an engaged state in which the holder () and the socket () are engaged with each other.

Provided is a connector having reduced height and area that facilitates the retention and removal of a connection object while preventing damages to itself during operation. According to the present disclosure, a connector () includes an insulator () having an accommodation section () for allowing insertion of a connection object (an FPC), an actuator () attached to the insulator (), and a locking member () that supports the connection object (the FPC) accommodated in the accommodation section () in an insertion-removal direction. When the actuator () is pushed in along a direction substantially orthogonal to the insertion-removal direction, the locking member () is elastically deformed and releases the connection object (the FPC).

A cable connector includes: a contact (A,B) supported by an insulator () having a cable insertion groove (); a lock member () rotatable about a rotation shaft (), between a lock position where a lock portion () of the lock member faces a locked portion () of a sheet-like cable () inserted in the insulator and an unlock position where the lock portion does not face the locked portion; and a bias portion () for biasing the lock member to the lock position, wherein an inner surface of the cable insertion groove includes a reference surface () which is an end surface in a movement direction of the lock portion from the lock position to the unlock position, and a rotation center G of the rotation shaft is located on a side opposite to the movement direction, with respect to the reference surface.
