Polyacetal resin composition

Polyacetal resin compositions have excellent weather resistance and environment resistance, which suppress resin deterioration/discoloration, crack and discoloration caused by additive bleeding during extended exposure to light while maintaining the initial molded product surface condition. The polyacetal compositions include a blend of (A) 100 parts by weight of a polyacetal resin, with the specific amounts of (B) an acrylic resin, (C) an oxyalkylene polymer having chains of 2 to 8 consecutive carbon atoms, (D) a UV absorber and (E) two kinds of the hindered amine compounds each having a different molecular weight.

Polyacetal resin compositions capable of providing a molded article having exceptionally reduced surface gloss characteristics but which maintain the inherent mechanical properties and moldability of polyacetal resin include (A) 100 parts by weight of a polyacetal base resin and, incorporated therein, (B) between 1 to 50 parts by weight of a polyalkylene terephthalate copolymer having a melt flow temperature of 210.degree. C. or below, and (C) between 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of an isocyanate or isothiocyanate compound, or a derivative thereof.

Polyacetal resin composition exhibiting reduced surface gloss

Thin-walled molded articles (i.e., molded articles where at least 70% of the wall thickness is 0.8 mm or less) are formed of a polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) molding composition having improved fluidity characteristics and desirable mechanical strength properties. The PBT molding composition includes (A) 100 parts by weight of a polybutylene terephthalate base resin having a melt index of between 40 and 200 as measured at 235.degree. C. under a load of 2160 grams according to ASTM D-1238; (B) between 1 to 60 parts by weight of plate-like glass flakes having an average flake dimension of between 10 to 200 .mu.m; and (C) between 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a fatty acid metal salt.

Polybutylene terephthalate molding composition and molded thin-walled

Moldable weather-resistant polyacetal resin compositions exhibiting low surface gloss characteristics are a melt-blend of (A) 100 parts by weight of a polyacetal base resin, (B) between 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a weather stabilizer, and (C) a surface gloss reducing effective amount of between 1 to 50 parts by weight of a core-shell polymer having a rubbery polymer as the core and a glassy vinyl copolymer having at least one oxygenic polar group as the shell. Molded articles formed of such polyacetal compositions exhibit weather-resistance properties and a reduced surface gloss of at least 35%. Moreover, the ability to imprint a grain-like appearance on the surfaces of the molded articles is enhanced.

Weather-resistant polyacetal resin compositions exhibiting reduced

Self-lubricating polyacetal resin compositions and molded articles (e.g. 'wear parts') formed thereof include a polyacetal base resin, and a self-lubricating effective amount of a silica powder in which a silicone polymer (e.g. silicone oil) is absorbed. The silica powder acts as a carrier for the silicone polymer so as to improve the dispersibility of the silicone polymer in the polyacetal base resin as well as to allow greater silicone polymer 'loading' of the polyacetal base resin. As a result, improved lubricant dispersibility and sliding characteristics are achieved.

Self-lubricated polyacetal molding compositions and molded articles

Polyacetal resin molding compositions and sliding members formed thereof exhibit anti-friction and abrasion-resistance properties. The polyacetal resin molding compositions include (A) 100 parts by weight of a polyacetal base resin, (B) between 0.5 to 40 parts by weight of a branched or cross-linked graft copolymer which is a graft-reaction product of (a) an olefin polymer, and (b) a vinyl or ether polymer, (C) between 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a lubricant, and (D) between 0.5 to 30 parts by weight of an inorganic powder having a mean particle diameter of 50 .mu.m or less and a content of particles having a particle diameter of 100 .mu.m or less of at least 95%.

Anti-friction and wear-resistant polyacetal molding compositions, and

A thermoplastic resin composition comprises (A) 99.9 to 60 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polyester or a polyacetal, (B) 0.05 to 20 parts by weight of a silicone oil having a viscosity of 150,000 cSt or larger and (C) 0.05 to 20 parts by weight of a lubricating oil having a viscosity of 3,000 cSt or smaller and is improved in durability to abrasion.

Self-lubricating thermoplastic resin wear part

A self-lubricating wear part is formed of a thermoplastic resin composition which exhibits improved durability to abrasion. The resin composition includes a thermoplastic polyester resin or polyacetal resin in an amount between 99.9 to 80.0 parts by weight, and a silicon oil having a viscosity of 150,000 cSt or more in an amount between 0.1 to 20 parts by weight.
