A rotary electric machine includes a rotor core, a stator, a field yoke, and a field winding. The rotor core is fixed to a rotary shaft, which includes a magnetic body for forming a magnetic path, and magnetic salient poles. The stator has teeth and a stator winding wound around the teeth by concentrated winding. A slot is formed between adjacent ones of the teeth in a circumferential direction. The field yoke magnetically connects the stator and the magnetic body. The field winding is located in proximity to at least one of the winding ends of the stator winding in an axial direction of the rotary shaft. The field winding generates a magnetic pole on the magnetic salient poles when energized.

Rotary electric machine

An electric motor driving device that drives an electric motor including a field winding, a rotor and a stator, wherein the rotor and the stator each form a field pole by passing a field current through the field winding, includes: a power supply device; a converter including a reactor that at least partially serves as the field winding shared with the electric motor, and configured to receive a voltage from the power supply device to carry out voltage conversion between first and second power lines and to pass the field current through the field winding during voltage conversion operation; an inverter configured to convert a direct-current power received from the converter to an alternating-current power for driving the electric motor; and a controller controlling the converter so that a current flows through the field winding in the same direction both during power running and regeneration of the electric motor.

Electric motor driving device and vehicle equipped with the same

There is provided a control apparatus that controls a motor of an electric power steering system to assist a steering effort of an operator. The control apparatus includes a sensor, a parameter computer, a difference computer, a target torque computer, and a motor driver. The parameter computer computes a current value of one of physical parameters of one of constituents of the electric power steering system based on a steering parameter determined by the sensor referring to an equation of motion. The difference computer computes a difference between the current value of the one of the physical parameters computed by the parameter computer and a predetermined value of the one of the physical parameters. The target torque computer computes a target torque of the motor which compensates for the difference between the current value and the predetermined value of the one of the physical parameters.

Control apparatus for electric power steering system

An operating apparatus including a main body, a movable member, a drive unit having a drive source, and a control unit controlling the drive source to control the position of the movable member relative to the main body. The control unit including a position control system and an acceleration control system. The position control system including a position command portion, a first feedforward compensator outputting a first operation command to the drive source, a second feedforward compensator, a positional-information acquiring device obtaining information related to the position of the movable member, and a first feedback compensator outputting a second operation command to the drive source. The acceleration control system including an acceleration-information acquiring device obtaining information related to an acceleration of the main body, a third feedforward compensator, a second feedback compensator outputting a third operation command to the drive source.

Operating apparatus

An electric motor has a field pole formed by a field current passing through a field winding. A voltage booting converter converts output voltage of a battery and outputs the voltage between a power source line and a grounding line. Field winding is electrically connected onto an electric current channel between battery and power source line and formed so that voltage switched by a switching element is applied to both ends. A controller controls the field current so as to adjust density of magnetic flux between a rotor and a stator by performing switching control on switching element and a switching element connected in parallel to field winding and converts the output voltage of battery into voltage in accordance with a voltage command value.

A rotating electric motor includes a stator core, a rotational shaft capable of rotation, a field yoke allowing a flow of magnetic flux in an axial direction, first and second rotor cores fixedly installed on the rotational shaft, a first magnet fixedly installed between the first rotor core and the second rotor core, a first rotor teeth formed at the first rotor core, a second magnet provided alongside of the first rotor teeth in the circumferential direction of the first rotor core, a second rotor teeth formed at the outer surface of the second rotor core, protruding outwardly in the radial direction, a third magnet provided alongside of the second rotor core in the axial direction, and windings that can control the density of magnetic flux between at least one of the first rotor core and second rotor core and the stator core.

In a steering system having a variable gear transmission system and an electrical power steering system, respective compensation amounts for first and second electric motors are produced by a first mathematical model. The compensation amounts are added to command values (v, v) to generate final command signals (i, i) to the respective electric motors. According to the above structure and operation, a mutual interference between two control systems can be suppressed.

A rotating electric motor includes a rotary shaft capable of rotation, a stator core formed in a cylindrical configuration, a rotor core fixed to the rotary shaft, a magnet set at the rotor core such that a pair of magnetic poles of different magnetism are aligned in the radial direction of the rotor core, a field yoke provided at the perimeter of the stator core, and a winding that can control the magnetic flux density across the rotor core and the stator core by forming a magnetic circuit across the field yoke and the rotor core.

Switching elements in an inverter main circuit are responsive to switching control signals. Phase voltages are applied to a polyphase load via the switching elements. Basic voltage command values are generated for phases of the polyphase load respectively. The basic voltage command values are converted into final voltage command values respectively. During a time interval for which at least two of the basic voltage command values are approximately equal to each other, the final voltage command values corresponding to the two of the basic voltage command values are equal to one of a maximum and a minimum. A carrier wave is subjected to pulse-width modulation responsive to the final voltage command values to produce the switching control signals. The produced switching control signals are outputted to the switching elements in the inverter main circuit.
