A video processing device is provided, in which the cross-talk is prevented from increasing while the Moir&#xe9; pattern is diminished. A video display device displays multiple-parallax video using a parallax barrier method, the video display device comprising: a display unit displaying pixel columns of a given image and pixel columns of one or more parallax images corresponding to the given image, all of the pixel columns being arranged in predetermined order; and a parallax barrier arranged at a predetermined distance from an image display face of the display unit, and having a plurality of elongated passing regions passing light rays from the display unit, wherein at least one of the passing regions has a waveform formed at a longitudinal edge thereof, and at least one waveform includes two wave units that differ in terms of wave height or wave width.

Video display device

An image display device includes: an image display unit () that displays a plurality of parallax images corresponding to the number of view points for stereoscopic viewing on a screen of a display panel (); a parallax barrier () that is arranged facing the screen, and performs optical separation of the displayed parallax images; and an adaptive pitch adjustment unit () that adjusts, for each of regions of the display panel (), perform adjustment on a pitch of the parallax barrier () corresponding to the region in accordance with an amount of distortion of the display panel () in the region.

Image display device and image display method

A parallax composite image displayed by image display means may be observed as predetermined parallax image at predetermined position by reflecting and guiding light from light source means and by using a diffusion pattern in which diffusion patterns are engraved at predetermined intervals to diffuse and transmit incident light on the diffusion pattern to the image display means. A fine notched structure is provided to cyclically and symmetrically vary the diffusion patterns in the horizontal direction. A structure is provided to control an amount and range of blur of pixels visible through light diffused toward the image display means by the diffusion pattern to which recesses and protrusions are added. By evaluating and adjusting a cycle of the notched structure so as to be appropriate, resultant adverse effects from the notched structure itself may be suppressed. Bright-dark patterns having a relatively long cycle may be reduced without increasing crosstalk.

Image display device having diffusing means or image separating means allowing image to be observed

An image display device includes an image display, an image separator and a controller. The image display displays a plurality of parallax images. The image separator performs optical separation such that the plurality of parallax images which are displayed are viewed as a stereoscopic image. The image separator includes a light-transmitting region (region), a light-masking region (region) and an intermediate region (region) which is located between the light-transmitting region (region) and the light-masking region (region). The controller controls light-transmittance of the intermediate region (region).

An operation assisting method comprising, comparing an input spoken voice with a preliminarily stored keyword associated with an operation target to obtain an evaluation value of likelihood that the keyword is included in the spoken voice, and determining whether or not the keyword was spoken, based on the evaluation value of likelihood where it is determined that the keyword was spoken if the evaluation value of likelihood exceeds a threshold value, detecting whether or not eyes of a user are directed at the operation target. A threshold value is decreased in cases where the eyes of the user are directed at the operation target and where the evaluation value of the spoken voice falls within a predetermined range.

Operation assisting method and operation assisting device

An operation assisting method comprising comparing input spoken voices with a preliminarily stored keyword associated with an operation target and determining whether or not the keyword is spoken, determining whether or not similarity between or among the input spoken voices falls within a predetermined range. In a case where it is determined that the keyword is not spoken, determining whether or not eyes of a user are directed at the operation target, and in a case of the similarity falling within the predetermined range, determining that the keyword is spoken, in a case of being determined that the eyes of the user are directed at the operation target.

Image display device

Model compression is combined with model compensation. Model compression is needed in embedded ASR to reduce the size and the computational complexity of compressed models. Model-compensation is used to adapt in real-time to changing noise environments. The present invention allows for the design of smaller ASR engines (memory consumption reduced to up to one-sixth) with reduced impact on recognition accuracy and/or robustness to noises.

Block-diagonal covariance joint subspace tying and model compensation for noise robust automatic speech recognition

A noise robustness method operates jointly in a signal domain and a model domain. For example, energy is added in the signal domain for frequency bands where an actual noise level of an incoming signal is lower than a noise level used to train models, thus obtaining a compensated signal. Also, energy is added in the model domain for frequency bands where noise level of the incoming signal or the compensated signal is higher than the noise level used to train the models. Moreover, energy is never removed, thereby avoiding problems of higher sensitivity of energy removal to estimation errors.
