Provided is a sheet-type heat pipe that has a sufficient heat transport capability and can be effortlessly installed in a thin chassis. The sheet-type heat pipe is made of a sealed container formed by stacking and joining together at least two etched sheet bodies formed as metal foil sheets. Particularly, etching or pressing is performed on the surface of the sheet bodies to join at least two sheet bodies such that fine concavities and convexities can be formed on the inner surface of the container and the sheet-type heat pipe with a sufficient heat transport capability can thus be obtained even when the sealed container is thinly formed with its thickness not larger than, e.g. 0.5 mm. More particularly, since the thickness of the container is thinly formed, the sheet-type heat pipe of the present invention can be effortlessly installed in a thin chassis of a mobile terminal.

Sheet-type heat pipe

Provided is a mobile terminal capable of allowing a heat generating component such as a CPU to make best use of its capabilities. The sheet-shaped heat pipe, according to the present invention, is provided either between the rear surface of the touch panel and motherboard, or between the one and the battery pack. In this case, since the sheet-shaped heat pipe is arranged opposite to the rear surface of the touch panel which is a part of the chassis of the mobile terminal, a favorable heat diffusion from the heat generating components such as the CPU to a large area on the chassis can be achieved through these sheet-shaped heat pipe, thus allowing the heat generating component such as the CPU to make best use of its capabilities.

Provided is a sheet-type heat pipe that has a sufficient heat transport capability and can be effortlessly installed in a thin chassis. The sheet-type heat pipe is made of a sealed container having a thickness of not larger than 0.5 mm. This container is formed by stacking and diffusion-joining together etched sheet bodies. Particularly, etching is performed on one side surface of each of the sheet bodies such that fine concavities and convexities can be formed on the inner surface of the container and the sheet-type heat pipe with a sufficient heat transport capability can thus be obtained even when the thickness of the container is not larger than 0.5 mm. More particularly, since the thickness of the container is formed to not larger than 0.5 mm, the sheet-type heat pipe can be effortlessly installed in a thin chassis such as that of a mobile terminal.

An electric toaster oven for use both as a toaster and as an oven, including a heater or heaters for heating an article placed in a baking chamber, a baked condition detector which detects the baked condition of the article through the detection of the heat radiated from the article, a plate forming part of the wall of the baking chamber and having a heat guide opening for transferring the heat radiated from the article therethrough to the baked condition detector, a tubular guide for guiding the heat to the baked condition detector, and a control circuit which controls supplying current to the heater or heaters on the basis of a detection signal provided by the baked condition detector. The baked condition detector includes a pair of thermosensitive elements disposed in different thermal conditions, respectively, and provides a signal corresponding to the difference between the respective temperature-dependent output signals of the thermosensitive elements. The heat guide opening is opened only when the electric toaster oven is used as a toaster, or the baked condition detector is placed opposite to the heat guide opening only when the electric toaster oven is used as a toaster.

Grid-like guard for the front of a portable heater

A portable heating unit has a heating chamber which is disposed within a housing so substantially all of the exterior thereof is displaced inwardly from that housing to define an air space. Air passing through that air space absorbs heat from the exterior of that heating chamber and also absorbs, and carries away, heat radiated from that exterior. That heating chamber is secured to that housing by mountings of small cross sections, which limit the amount of heat that can be conducted from that heating chamber to that housing. In addition, a baffle is interposed between the heating element and housing of the portable unit to reduce the amount of heat passing to that housing. A flame interceptor on the inner surface of the top of the heating chamber will largely intercept any flame which could develop as the wick of the combustion element was raised; and a guard is provided for the front of the heating chamber to minimize the risk of anyone contacting that heating chamber and also to keep the heating element from contacting the floor in the event the portable heating unit were to be tilted over onto its face.

A warm air blowing heater includes combustion equipment for burning fuel, and an air duct provided at a position away from a portion directly above the combustion equipment for blowing air from the heater into the room. The combustion equipment includes a burner chimney provided above a burner, and a reflecting plate is provided behind this burner chimney. The radiation heat of the combustion equipment is radiated directly and is also reflected on the reflecting plate to heat the room. The air duct does not disturb the rise of the combustion exhaust gas of the combustion equipment to form a smooth rising exhaust gas stream. When the air is blown from the air duct toward the front of the heater, the high temperature air in the upper portion of the heater is sucked. This high temperature air is mixed with the air blown from the air duct to allow the heater to blow warm air into the room. The blower motor may suck the air in the room and supply it to the air duct. When the blower motor, however, sucks the outdoor air and blows it from the air duct into the room, the air in the room can be simultaneously exchanged for good circulation.

A reflection type heater comprising a box-shaped housing having a front face, with a front opening, and a top face. A burner and a burner chimney are contained in the housing. A reflecting plate is provided behind the burner chimney to reflect radiant heat from the burner chimney toward the front face of the housing. A top plate is laid on the top face of the housing. The top plate includes a tray located in that region of the top face which is enveloped by the reflecting plate, and a roof plate located in the remaining region of the top face of the housing. A guard in the form of an endless belt with its surface vertical extends along the edge of the tray.
