In a gas generator, a plurality of gas discharge ports include a plurality of first gas discharge ports and one or a plurality of second gas discharge ports having an opening pressure higher than an opening pressure of the first gas discharge ports. An opening pressure of the first and second gas discharge ports are set, such that only the plurality of first gas discharge ports of the plurality of gas discharge ports are opened by the pressure of the gas when the igniter is actuated in a stand-alone state before the gas generator is incorporated into an airbag device, and among the plurality of gas discharge ports, the first gas discharge ports excluding some of the first gas discharge ports and at least some of the second gas discharge ports are opened by the pressure of the gas when the igniter is actuated in an assembled state.

Gas generator and airbag device

An airbag device includes a seat frame that forms a skeleton of a vehicle seat on which an occupant of a vehicle sits; an airbag that is disposed on a backrest portion that supports a back of the occupant in the vehicle seat and that is deployed by supply of gas; and a gas generator that is disposed at a seating surface portion that supports buttocks of the occupant in the vehicle seat and that generates gas to be supplied to the airbag; where a part that is a portion of the seat frame and includes at least a portion of a back frame forming a skeleton of the backrest portion, is formed as a flow tube that connects to the airbag to supply gas generated by the gas generator to the airbag.

Airbag device and vehicle seat

The airbag device protects the occupant seated in the vehicle seat disposed in the vehicle. An airbag device includes a first airbag group and a second airbag group that are disposed in the vehicle seat in correspondence with impacts from two different directions and that respectively include a plurality of airbags; a gas generation unit that is disposed in a seat cushion, of the vehicle seat, that supports the buttocks region of the occupant and that generates gas to be supplied to the first airbag group or the second airbag group; and a switching unit that switches the supply of gas to either the first airbag group or the second airbag group.

Airbag device

The present invention provides a seat frame inflator including a seat frame housing portion formed of a seat frame having a hollow structure and forming an outer shell of a pressurized gas chamber, and a partition member disposed on a hollow side of the seat frame and configured to isolate the pressurized gas chamber and a gas chamber outer region from each other. The partition member is provided with a communication hole, and a closing member configured to close the communication hole. The seat frame inflator includes an opening member disposed on the hollow side of the seat frame, and configured to open the pressurized gas chamber, and a gas discharge port formed in the seat frame to face the gas chamber outer region and configured to discharge, from the gas chamber outer region to the outside, the pressurized gas flowing from the pressurized gas chamber.

Seat frame inflator and airbag device

A gas generator including an outer vessel including a housing provided with a gas discharge port, the outer vessel accommodating therein an igniter and a gas generating agent, wherein any of surfaces of the outer vessel includes an annular fragile portion, and the annular fragile portion is a groove formed in a continuous annular shape or a groove formed in a discontinuous annular shape.

Gas generator and airbag module

An igniter fixing structure includes a plurality of igniter bodies having an ignition portion and an electroconductive pin, each of the igniter bodies being fixed, by a resin, to a peripheral edge of a port formed in a plate-like portion serving as a fixing object, the number of the port being the same as that of the plurality of the igniter bodies, and a single retainer as a support member for the plurality of igniter bodies. The retainer has a plurality of support portions each having a hole for passing the electroconductive pin therethrough and a connection plate portion that connects the plurality of support portions, at least the support portions are embedded in the resin in a state in which the electroconductive pin passes through the hole, and at least the connection plate portion is disposed to abut against the plate-like portion.

The present invention provides a gas generator for a restraining device of a vehicle, including: a housing being made of a resin, forming an outer shell container, having a plurality of gas discharge ports, an ignition device disposed inside the housing, a gas generating agent that is ignited and burned by activation of the ignition device, each of the gas discharge ports being formed in combination with each of a plurality of through holes of an annular plate member that is embedded in a circumferential wall surface of the housing and formed of a material selected from the group consisting of metals, ceramics, and carbon fiber, and the annular plate member being formed of an annular base plate including the plurality of through holes formed therein.

Gas generator

An actuator includes an ignition device having an igniter main body fixed to an igniter collar and a cylinder connected to the igniter collar. The cylinder has a first sliding chamber located in a position facing the ignition device and a second sliding chamber formed in a direction perpendicular to the first sliding chamber. A first piston is disposed inside the first sliding chamber, one end surface of the first piston having a first inclined surface inclined in one direction, and the other end surface opposing the ignition device, and a second piston is disposed inside the second sliding chamber. A circumferential surface of the second piston is provided with a recess formed with a second inclined surface inclining in the central axis direction, and the second piston is provided such that the first inclined surface abuts against the second inclined surface.

A gas generator includes, a housing having a gas discharge port; at least one combustion chamber accommodating a gas generating agent therein; a cylindrical filter disposed between the gas discharge port and the combustion chamber; and at least one ignition device for igniting and combusting the gas generating agent, each device comprising an igniter assembly in which an electric igniter is enclosed and fixed by a metal member and a resin portion. The igniter assembly has, in the resin portion, a holder accommodation space disposed over an opening formed in a bottom portion of the housing, and fixed by a holder inserted from the outside into the opening. An inner wall surface of the holder accommodation space has concave and convex portions that engage convex and concave portions of the holder, so that the igniter assembly is fixed without being welded to the bottom portion of the housing.

A gas generator for an air bag includes; a housing having a gas discharge port, a first combustion chamber and a second combustion chamber, provided inside the housing and charged with a gas generating agent, a first ignition device and a second ignition device provided in the two combustion chambers, respectively, the second ignition device provided with an electric igniter, a piston, an enhancer agent, a detonator provided in the enhancer agent, opposite to the distal end of the piston, and a tether connected to the rear end portion of the piston, the tether being tied around an air bag when accommodated into an air bag module, the tether controlling an inflation direction of the air bag by fastening the inflating air bag when the first ignition device is activated, the tether being configured to be released from the piston when the second ignition device is activated.

Air bag module

The present invention provides a small, high-output gas generator for an air bag. A filteris disposed between a first gas generatorand a second gas generator. Gas discharged from the first gas generatorand gas discharged from the second gas generatorpass through the same filter, and are then discharged from a second gas discharge portto inflate the air bag.

Space-saving, high-output, multi-stage gas generator

Stud boltsare fixed by welding to the side faces of a first closureand a second closure, which are connected to a cylindrical housing. When connecting a gas introduction port of the air bag to a diffuser portion, the stud boltsdo not cause an obstruction, and hence the attachability of an inflatorto a module case using the stud boltsis not impaired.
