A wire-equipped crimp terminal includes a wire, a crimp terminal and a coating agent. The wire has a conductor exposed from an insulative sheath. The crimp terminal has a crimping piece which is press-deformed to embrace the conductor. The coating agent is coated to a first part of the crimp terminal. A recess is formed at a non-coating part of the crimp terminal where the coating agent is not coated. The coating agent is cured by irradiating light or an electron beam to the first part in a state where a part of the coating agent flowing out from the first part is received in the recess.

Method of curing a coating agent on a crimp terminal

A crimped terminal attached aluminum electric wire includes an aluminum electric wire that includes a conductor part made of aluminum or aluminum alloy and an insulative coating part which surrounds the periphery of the conductor part, and a crimped terminal that is crimped to the conductor part which is exposed by removing the insulative coating part at an end of the aluminum electric wire. The crimped terminal includes a conductor crimping part which is crimped to the exposed conductor part, and an end side conductor crimping part which is formed at an end at the side of the crimped terminal to which the aluminum electric wire is connected, and which is crimped to the conductor part at a radial compression rate which is smaller than that at which the conductor part is crimped by the conductor crimping part.

After bringing a conductor of an electric wire into press contact to connect with a wire caulking portion of a connection terminal, the conductor and the wire caulking portion are welded to connect by irradiating laser beam to a bottom wall of the wire caulking portion. Laser irradiation is carried out intermittently by three times and the laser irradiation at the second time and thereafter which is carried out later is carried out such that during a time period in which a laser welded portion immediately previously is brought into a predetermined state of elevating temperature, portions or welded regions overlap welded regions in laser irradiation irradiated previously.

An intermediate portion of an insulating sheath of a coaxial cable is removed, and a first insulating sheath portion is drawn toward a second insulating sheath portion, so that a braid is projected into an annular shape outwardly from an interval between opposed ends of the first and second insulating sheath portions to form an annular projecting braid portion, and this annular projecting braid portion is fixed so as to be connected to a portion (that is, a braid fixing portion) of a coaxial cable shielding terminal for connection to an end portion of the coaxial cable. This connecting and fixing operation is effected by press-contacting or press-clamping.

A coaxial cable with a terminal is formed by attaching the terminal to an end of the coaxial cable. A braided conductor at the end of the coaxial cableis folded and covers the insulating sheath. A sleeve covers the braided conductor covering the insulating sheath. All around the sleeve is pressed equally. The terminal is attached to the sleeve.

A conductor portion () of a wire () is located on the inner sides of the pair of clamping piece portions (), and the pair of clamping piece portions are pressed over an entire periphery into a circular shape, and are extended in a peripheral direction, thereby causing projecting extension portions ('), including the projecting portions (), to bite into the conductor portion. Before the pressing operation, the pair of clamping piece portions () may be provisionally pressed to be curved, thereby causing distal ends of the projecting portions () to bite slightly into an outer peripheral surface of the conductor portion ().

Method of connecting terminal to wire

A method of determining the acceptability of a press contact of a wire between press contact blades of a terminal. The method includes the steps of storing a reference data of a relationship between displacements of the press contact blades when the wire is brought into press contact with a normal press contact terminal and contact loads between the press contact blades and the core wire; inserting the wire between the press contact blades of the press contact terminal as an object to be inspected; measuring the displacement of the press contact blades caused by the insertion of the wire; and determining the acceptability of the press contact terminal as the object to be inspected by predicting the contact loads between the press contact blades of the press contact terminal as the object to be inspected based on the measured displacements and the reference data.

In a structure for grounding a shielded cable, a braided wire is extended radially outwardly of core covering portions to form a flange portion, and an associated wire is connected to the flange portion by the use of sleeve members, thereby effecting the grounding.

Shielded cable-grounding structure

A method of shielding a flat circuit body and a wiring harness including the shielded flat circuit body, the shielded flat circuit body of the wiring harness includes a FFC having insulator covering around a conductor, a shield film covering the FFC and a connecting terminal. A clamp blade is pierced through an end of the FFC and is bent so as to connect electrically to the conductor. A joint blade extending perpendicularly from a joint terminal, which connects a plurality of conductors to each other, is pierced through the shield film and the FFC in the same direction of piercing the clamp blade, and is bent so as to connect the conductor and the shield film electrically.

Method for shielding flat circuit body, shielded flat circuit body, and wiring harness

The terminal includes a front portion, a middle portion, and a rear portion. The rear portion is opened and has a pair of upright segments. The front portion is a shape of hollow cylinder and has bent tips. The middle portion is partly opened and an inner edge thereof has a collapsed or chamfered face. A step H is disposed between the rear portion and the front portion so that the middle portion is downwardly tapered to the rear portion. A through-hole is disposed at inner wall of the middle portion close to the rear portion for a part of the core wires, preferably edges of the covers also, to be visible through the through-hole.

Terminal

The jointing sleeve component includes a sleeve made of electrically conductive metal. A diameter of the sleeve is to be reduced by swaging on a condition that core wire ends of a plurality of coated electric wires are received in the sleeve. Each core wire end is obtained by removing an insulating coating from the coated electric wire. The jointing sleeve component electrically connects the core wire ends to each other. The sleeve is formed in a pipe-shape from a developed material, which is stamped out from a plate made of the electrically conductive metal to have a specific shape.

In a method of grounding a shielded wire and a structure of grounding a shielded wire, a ring portion is formed in a ring shape by leading a braided wire to or to an opposite side of an insulating outer sheath so as to be separated in an outer circumferential direction of the insulating outer sheath. With respect to an outer circumference of the insulating outer sheath, an inner circumferential cylinder is disposed at an inner circumference side of the ring portion and an outer circumferential cylinder is disposed at an outer circumference side thereof. Further, the outer circumferential cylinder and the inner circumferential cylinder are connected each other to form a sleeve fitting. With the sleeve fitting, an attached wire is connected to the ring portion, such that grounding is performed.

Method of grounding shielded wire and structure for grounding shielded wire

An electric connecting terminal () is connected to a flat circuit body () by causing tips of one pair of piercing portions () erected on both side edges of a plane portion () to penetrate through a coating () and a conductor () in the flat circuit body () and then folding the tips in such a direction as to approach each other. Taper surfaces () for gradually reducing a plate thickness toward the tip are provided on internal surface sides of the piercing portions ().
