A sensor includes a probe that acquires a blood light absorber concentration in a subject and a cuff that acquires a non-invasive blood pressure of the subject. In the sensor, the probe is configured to be attached to a first portion of a digit of the subject, and the cuff is configured to be attached to a second portion of the digit, the second portion being located on a periphery side with respect to the first portion.

Sensor

A biological signal acquirer is attached to a subject and acquires a biological signal of the subject. A transmitter carried by the subject transmits the biological signal. A first communication port and a first camera are installed in a first location and connectable to a network. A second communication port and a second camera are installed in a second location and connectable to the network. A biological information acquiring device is connectable to the network and provided with a switcher. The switcher acquires, when communication establishment between the transmitter and the first communication port is detected, the biological signal through the first communication port as well as a first image taken by the first camera, and acquires, when communication establishment between the transmitter and the second communication port is detected, the biological signal through the second communication port as well as a second image taken by the second camera.

Probe

A sensor attached to a living body includes a sensor body that outputs a signal corresponding to biological information, and a cable that is connected to a sensor body and transmits the signal. The cable has a first portion having a first flexibility and a second portion having a second flexibility lower than the first flexibility. The second flexibility enables the second portion to be bent, and is able to retain a shape of the second portion in a bent state.

A catheter includes a main body and a distal end tip. The main body includes an inner layer having a first lumen, a coil body wound around an outer periphery of the inner layer and made of a metal, and an outer layer that covers an outer periphery of the coil body. The distal end tip is made of metal and has a second lumen that communicates with the first lumen. The distal end tip is provided at a distal end of the main body, and is bonded to a distal end of the coil body and is bonded to an inner peripheral surface of a distal end portion of the coil body.

Catheter

A catheter includes a proximal shaft, a distal shaft including a proximal end portion having an inner cavity into which a distal end portion of the proximal shaft is fitted, and a core wire extending through the inner cavity of the distal shaft. The core wire has a proximal end portion that is joined to a cutout portion formed in the distal end portion of the proximal shaft. Joining means are formed along a joint surface between the proximal end portion of the core wire and the cutout portion. When the joining means are divided into first joining means and second joining means along a longitudinal axis of the catheter, a length of one of the first joining means and the second joining means is larger than a length of the other of the first joining means and the second joining means.

An object of the present invention is to provide a balloon catheter integrated with a guidewire in which a stepped portion is prevented from being formed between a coil portion of the guidewire and a front end portion of the balloon catheter and thus crossability of the balloon catheter is improved. The balloon catheter includes a transition part made of resin that smoothly connects an external shape of an outer coil of a front end coil part and an external shape of a tip portion of a front side inner shaft.

A catheter body includes a hollow coil whose outer and inner surfaces are coated with outer and inner resin layers. A resin tip is provided at a distal end of the catheter body. The tip has a tapered section at a distal end of the tip. Also, an axially extending braid is embedded in the catheter body and the tip to extend from the catheter body to the tip.

Reagent injection apparatus and method of producing the same

An apparatus for manufacturing a magnetic recording disk includes a magnetic-film deposition chamber in which a magnetic film for a recording layer is deposited on a substrate; a lubricant-layer preparation chamber in which a lubricant layer is prepared on the substrate in vacuum; and a cleaning chamber in which the substrate is cleaned in vacuum after the magnetic-film deposition in the magnetic-film chamber and before the lubricant-layer preparation in the lubricant-layer chamber. The apparatus may further include a transfer system that transfers the substrate from the cleaning chamber to the lubricant-layer preparation chamber without exposing the substrate to the atmosphere.

Apparatus for manufacturing magnetic recording disk, and in-line type substrate processing apparatus

In manufacturing a magnetic recording disk, a magnetic film for a recording layer is deposited on a substrate of the magnetic recording disk in a magnetic-film deposition chamber, and the substrate is transferred from the magnetic-film deposition chamber to a lubricant-layer preparation chamber without exposing the substrate to the atmosphere. Then, a lubricant layer is prepared on the substrate in the lubricant-layer preparation chamber.

Method for manufacturing a magnetic recording disk

An abrasive sheet for precisely abrading a workpiece surface includes an adhesive and an abrading layer made by drying a slurry which is a mixture of abrasive particles and a binder. The abrading layer is preferably of thickness less than about 1.5 times the average size of the abrading particles and has one surface attached to a plastic base sheet through a layer of the adhesive. At least some of the abrading particles in the abrading layer have their end parts at the other surface of the abrading layer which, together with these end parts of the abrading particles, forms a smooth flat abrading surface without irregularly distributed protrusions and indentations.

Abrasive sheet and method for producing same

An abrasive sheet for fine texture processing has threads planted uniformly on a surface of a flexible base sheet and abrasive particles are attached by a binder to each of these threads uniformly over a specified distance from the tip such that the threads remain free to move independently without getting stuck to each other. Such an abrasive sheet can be manufactured by gravure processing with the separation between a gravure roller and a back roller adjusted according to the distance over which a coating material including the abrasive particles can be applied to the threads.
