A method for molding an in-mold coating product including a substrate and a coating formed on a surface of the substrate. A first mold including a fixed mold piece is closed to form a substrate cavity therein. The substrate cavity is charged with a resin to form the substrate with a seal projection formed near the parting line of the first mold. Then, a second mold, which uses the fixed mold piece of the first mold, is closed with the substrate arranged on the fixed mold piece to form a coating cavity therein. The second mold deforms the seal projection so that when a coating material is charged into the coating cavity, the coating material does not leak out toward the parting line of the second mold.

Method for manufacturing in-mold coating product

A molded article has a resinous substrate body, and an elastic sheet material, at least partially fused thereto. For molding, the pre-formed elastic sheet material is oriented so as to be in contact with a setting face of an open mold. Further, a molten resin material is injected into a cavity defined within the closed mold via a gate so that the cavity is filled with the resin material. The gate has a substantially thin, rectangular shape in cross-section, and forms a rib integral with and projecting rearwardly from the molded resin substrate body. The integrally formed rib is molded from resin material left remaining in the gate after the molten resin material is injected into the cavity.

Molding method for resin articles

A skin covered lid consists of a substrate portion made from resin and a skin layer bonded onto the surface of the substrate portion. The substrate portion has a ceiling portion and side wall portions add also a boss for mounting a lock-plate. The side wall portions have a thickness generally larger than that of the ceiling portion and moreover have hollow portions and also have a hinge portion. The skin layer is fixed with its end portion contacting the side wall portion of the substrate portion.

A method of terminal treatment for an extrusion molding of the present invention including the steps of: applying double-sided adhesive tape to necessary positions of an extrusion molding; cutting the extrusion molding with the double-sided adhesive tape stuck thereon into a necessary length; cutting a release paper of the double-sided adhesive tape into a predetermined length less than the necessary length of the extrusion; and forming a terminal of the extrusion into a predetermined form by injection molding.
