A production method for a magnetic material, which is expressed by a chemical structure formula Fe(AlMn)O, where 0&#x3c;x&#x3c;1, and exhibits ferromagnetism, includes: preparing a mixed aqueous solution by dissolving, in distilled water, Fe nitrate, Al nitrate, and an oxide including Mn, the Fe nitrate, the Al nitrate, and the oxide being parent materials; preparing a metal-citric acid complex by mixing citric acid and ethylene glycol with the mixed aqueous solution; obtaining a precursor by boiling the metal-citric acid complex to a gel and drying the gel; and obtaining the magnetic material by sintering the precursor.

A reactor includes a coil body, an exterior case, and a filler. The coil body includes a core and a coil wound around the core. The exterior case includes a metal structure and a resin frame. The metal structure has a bottom surface and a side wall provided to stand upright from the bottom surface. The bottom surface and the side wall of the metal structure are unitarily formed with each other. The frame is disposed at an opposite side to the bottom surface of the metal structure. The exterior case houses the core and the coil. The filler is filled between the exterior case and the coil body.

A composite magnetic material includes first particles made of soft magnetic metal and second particles provided between first particles. Each of the second particles includes a first solid phase and a second solid phase. The composite magnetic material exhibits high magnetic characteristics.

Composite magnetic material, coil component using same, and composite magnetic material manufacturing method

A composite magnetic material includes a plurality of soft-magnetic metal powders, a first oxide that covers a surface of each of the plurality of soft-magnetic metal powders, and a second oxide that covers a surface of the first oxide and is interposed among the plurality of soft-magnetic metal powders each coated with the first oxide. The first oxide has a first recess in a surface, and the second oxide is provided in the first recess. With this configuration, peeling between the first oxide and the second oxide can be prevented, so that the composite magnetic material having high mechanical strength can be provided.

Composite magnetic material, coil component using same, and power supply device

A coil component has a wound coil, a coil magnetic body, and an exterior body. The coil magnetic body has a magnetic core inside winding of the wound coil. The exterior body covers a surface of the coil magnetic body. This coil component has a mount surface, and a thermal conductivity in a direction parallel to a surface of the exterior body is greater than a thermal conductivity in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the exterior body.

A coil component includes a magnetic core, a coil-wire portion wound on the magnetic core, and a case made of a resin covering the magnetic core and the coil-wire portion. The magnetic core is made of a pressed magnetic material powder and forms a closed magnetic circuit. The magnetic core has a lower surface configured to contact a mounting surface. The case has a lower surface configured to contact the mounting surface. The lower surface of the magnetic core includes an exposed-core portion exposed from the case. The exposed-core portion is flush with the lower surface of the case. This coil component enhances the efficiency of heat dissipation.

Coil component

A composite magnetic material manufactured by mixing a metal magnetic powder with an insulating binder to produce a mixed powder, press-molding the mixed powder to produce a molded product, and heat-treating the molded product in an oxidizing atmosphere at not lower than 80&#xb0; C. and not higher than 400&#xb0; C. to form an oxide film on a surface of the molded product. The metal magnetic powder includes Si, Fe, and component A, and the composition thereof satisfies 5.5%&#x2266;Si&#x2266;9.5%, 10%&#x2266;Si+component A&#x2266;13.5%, and the remainder is Fe, where % denotes weight %. The component A includes at least one of Ni, Al, Ti, and Mg.

The invention can provide a dust core that can counteract a large electric current, achieve an increase in frequency and miniaturization, and achieve an improvement in voltage resistance, and a magnetic element using the same. The dust core of the invention is a dust core including metallic magnetic powder, an inorganic insulating material, and a thermosetting resin, in which the metallic magnetic powder has a Vickers hardness (Hv) in a range of 230&#x2266;Hv&#x2266;1000, the inorganic insulating material has a compressive strength of 10000 kg/cmor lower and is in a mechanical collapse state, and the inorganic insulating material in a mechanical collapse state and the thermosetting resin are interposed between the metallic magnetic powder particles.

A composite magnetic material is manufactured having magnetic properties that can excellently cope with the decreasing size and increasing electric current of magnetic elements, such as choke coils, and can be used in a high frequency range, a dust core using the composite magnetic material, and a method of manufacturing the same. Process for producing composite magnetic material, dust core formed from same, and process for producing dust core

An inductance component is disclosed. This inductance component includes base made of insulating material, coil section buried in base, and external electrode terminals electrically coupled to the ends of coil section. Stress buffering section is provided on the exposed interface between base and external electrode terminals, and this stress buffering section can ease the stress produced by the difference in thermal coefficients due to temperature changes. The foregoing structure thus allows improving the reliability of the inductance component with respect to a thermal shock.

Inductive component and method for manufacturing the same

In an inductance component, a stress is not locally applied even in the condition where heat is applied to entire component, such as when implementing soldering, so that high reliability is realized. For realizing this, the component includes an element, a coil formed in the element, terminals electrically connected to the coil, and magnetic layers arranged so as to be substantially parallel to a winding surface of the coil are formed in the element and the entirety of the magnetic layers is covered with a material of which thermal expansion and contraction rate is uniform.

On the other hand, the confronting side-surfaces with no bumpsor irregularitiesallow a mounting device to have an improved vacuum suction force. Such structured electronic component maintains easy handling even when it is extremely downsized.

Electronic component and method for manufacturing the same

The inductance component has a base material, a coil formed in the base material and an electrode electrically connected to the coil. In addition, an impact-absorption layer is disposed between the electrode and the base material. Forming impact-absorption layer between the base material and the electrode allows the base material to have flexibility even if an impact is given on the base material, providing the component with high impact-resistance.
