There is provided an information processing apparatus including a database configured to store position data indicating a current position of at least one search target person, the position data being received from a communication apparatus of the at least one search target person, an information providing unit configured to provide the position data of the at least one search target person to a terminal apparatus of a searcher in response to an information request from the terminal apparatus of the searcher, and a communication mediation unit configured to receive, from the terminal apparatus, a communication request for requesting communication with a search target person who is selected by the searcher based on the provided position data, and to transmit a communication message to a communication apparatus of the selected search target person.

Information processing apparatus to provide position based services

A battery and an electronic apparatus are disclosed by which it can be discriminated with a simple configuration whether or not the battery is of a thin type. The battery is configured such that a wall portion for discrimination of a battery characteristic which is swollen in a lengthwise direction and connects to a connector section is formed at a location of one of end faces positioned rather near to an end portion in a widthwise direction of a case of the battery.

An image capture apparatus includes a housing body, an image capture optical system, an image capture device, a connector, a cover, and an operation member. The display panel is provided to the housing body to be pivotable between a usage position where a display surface of the display panel is visible and a storage position where the display surface of the display panel is in contact with a surface of the housing body. The cover opens or closes the insertion/removal opening by extending or retracting on the insertion/removal opening from an interior of the housing body. The radiation plate and the CCD are constructed so as to transmit heat therebetween so that heat can be radiated from the CCD through the radiation plate to the disc compartment portion.

Camera apparatus

A waterproof type electronic device is composed of a disc lidcapable of opening and closing an opening portion () of a camera apparatus body (), a buckle () capable of detachably fastening the disc lid () to the camera apparatus body () and a sealing member () provided on at least one of the buckle () and the camera apparatus body () to hermetically seal the buckleand the camera apparatus body (). When the disc lid () is fastened to the camera apparatus body () by the buckle (), the camera apparatus body () is hermetically sealed at least at its part of the portion covered with the buckle (). In this kind of related-art waterproof type electronic device, operation buttons are not formed so as to have waterproof structures and water and water component can therefore enter this waterproof type electronic device relatively easily. If the operation buttons are formed so as to have waterproof structures, then such waterproof structures are increased in space from a structure standpoint and hence the overall arrangement of the apparatus may not be made compact in size.
