An electron beam trajectory controlling device includes a main deflection section having a first main coil and defining a first path and being configured to control a trajectory of an electron traveling along the first path. The main deflection section includes a first auxiliary coil provided proximate the first main coil. A minor deflection section is provided adjacent to the main deflection section and has a first minor coil that is coupled to the first auxiliary coil. The minor deflection section defines a second electron path that is aligned to the first path. The minor deflection section cooperates with the main deflection section to control the trajectory of the electron.

Deflection yoke and cathode ray tube device

Horizontal line misconvergences produced at screen upper and lower portions, among rasters displayed by side electron beams are corrected without producing degradation in vertical deflection sensitivity so much and changing horizontal trapezoidal distortion. In a deflection yoke provided with a top-and-bottom pair of saddle-type horizontal deflection coils and a right-and-left pair of saddle-type deflection coils and mounted to and used in a color cathode ray tube having an in-line arranged electron gun, a pair of sub-cores is provided from side to side or above and below on the electron gun side of the deflection yoke. At least one pair of correction coils is wound around each of the pair of sub-cores. The one pair of correction coils is connected in series with vertical deflection coils in such a manner that respective magnetic poles produced from the one pair of correction coils become identical to the pole of a cathode ray tube axis, and a variable resistor is connected in parallel with the one pair of correction coils to change a current that flows through the one pair of correction coils.

A deflection yoke for a CRT including a horizontal deflection coil having an axial length in an axial direction of the CRT in an installed position that is not less than 60 mm and not more than 80 mm, a vertical deflection coil having an axial length in an axial direction that ranges from 45 mm to 65 mm, and a core having an axial length in the axial direction that ranges from 25 mm to 45 mm. The subject deflection yoke prevents deterioration in horizontal and vertical deflection sensitivity in CRTs having a neck diameter that is greater than 22 mm and less than 26 mm with a deflection angle that ranges from 95 to 110 degrees. In an alternate embodiment a deflection yoke for a CRT including a horizontal deflection coil, a vertical deflection coil disposed outside of the horizontal deflection coil, and a core disposed outside of the vertical deflection coil wherein in an installed position of the yoke, an inner surface of the deflection yoke is circumscribed around a circle having a diameter of 56.5 mm and the horizontal deflection coil has a length thereof extending from the tube axial position to an opening end of the horizontal deflection coil ranges from 20.5 mm to 24.5 mm and a length thereof extending from the tube axial position to a neck end of the horizontal deflection coil ranges from 46 mm to 50 mm. The subject deflection yoke reduces neck shadow in color CRTs having a 95 to 105 degree deflection with a 400 to 420 mm diagonal and a neck having an outside diameter form 23.6 mm to 25.0 mm at a portion where the deflection yoke is attached.

Deflection yoke, cathode-ray tube device using the same and display

A cathode-ray tube apparatus capable of reducing a high frequency electric field radiated from the deflection yoke and the deflection and high voltage circuit to the outside of the cathode-ray tube apparatus. Mounted on the deflection yoke or on the cathode-ray tube are an induction coil for generating a pulse voltage opposite in polarity to a high pulse voltage applied to the h and an electric field cancellation electrode made of a conductive wire to which the opposite polarity pulse voltage is applied. When the opposite polarity pulse voltage is applied to the electric field cancellation electrode, the electric field cancellation electrode radiates an electric field opposite in polarity to the high frequency electric field radiated from the deflection yoke to the outside of the cathode-ray tube apparatus to reduce the intensity of the high frequency electric field.

Cathode-ray tube apparatus and yoke

A color cathode-ray tube which includes a deflection yoke having a convergence correcting device and an electron gun provided to the deflection yoke for generating a multiplicity of electron beams. In the deflection yoke, a vertical deflection coil is made up of at least a pair of saddle type coil halves each divided into at least first and second coil parts, the first coil parts of the coil halves and the second coil parts thereof are connected respectively mutually in series or parallel, a subcore having a vertical auxiliary deflection coil is provided on a side of the electron gun, the vertical auxiliary deflection coil is made up of first and second correction coils for generating 4 polar magnetic field components which are directed at least opposite to each other, a series circuit of a first resistor and the first correction coil is connected in parallel to a series circuit of a second resistor and the second correction coil to form a parallel circuit, the parallel circuit is connected in series with the vertical deflection coil, a shunt circuit is provided for shunting a current flowing through the second coil part to supply the shunted current into the first and second correction coils to thereby cause a predetermined imbalance between the currents flowing through the first and second correction coils, when an area of a display screen other than a predetermined range in a vertical direction is subjected to a vertical deflection. Thereby horizontal and vertical line misconvergences can be corrected.

Deflection yoke and cathode-ray tube apparatus comprising the same

A deflection yoke device comprises a convergence correction circuit connected between a vertical deflection coil and correction coils. The convergence correction circuit includes a first, second and third impedance elements connected in parallel and at least two diodes. The diodes are connected in series in the same direction and respond to a vertical deflection current of the vertical deflection coil to regulate a current flowing through the correction coils to thereby correct the YH mis-convergence.

Deflection yoke device and color cathode ray tube using the same

A deflection yoke attached to a color cathode ray tube forming multiple electron beams arranged in line, and in particular a deflection yoke having convergence correction apparatus. Circuit components such as a plurality of resistors, variable resistors, and diodes are connected in parallel with vertical deflection coils. A part of a vertical deflection current flowing through the vertical deflection coils is diverted to the circuit components. Furthermore, the amount of the diverted current is made adjustable so that it will differ between a former part of a vertical deflection period and a latter part thereof. As a result, horizontal line misconvergence at upper and lower ends of the screen can be completely corrected.

Deflection yoke and cathode ray tube having the same

A horizontal deflection circuit for a CRT supplies an exciting current in such a way that flyback voltages including both a positive voltage and a negative voltage as components are generated in horizontal deflection coils of a horizontal deflection yoke, respectively, during energizing the horizontal deflection yoke to provide a magnetic field for horizontal scans. A positive electric field of VLF and a negative electric field of VLF which are generated in the horizontal deflection yoke by the respective flyback voltages cancel each other to decrease a composite electric field of VLF emitted from the horizontal deflection yoke. This prevents unwanted radiation leaking to the outside of the a CRT display.

Horizontal deflection circuit with reduced VLF electric fields from CRT

A deflection yoke having cancelling loop coils for reducing undesired portions of a horizontal deflection magnetic field generated by a deflection yoke body without mislanding. The cancelling loop coils generate a cancelling magnetic field which includes two peaks in a front region and a rear region of the deflection yoke body in which the undesired field portions exist, respectively. The peaks are opposite in direction to the horizontal magnetic field generated by the deflection yoke body, respectively, with same ratio to the deflection magnetic field, so that the undesired magnetic field portions are under-corrected in the front portion and over-corrected in the rear portion.

Deflection yoke for cathode ray tube

A deflection system for a cathode-ray tube including a horizontal deflection core, a magnetic coil, and a vertical deflection coil toroidally wound on the magnetic core. The vertical deflection coil has a plurality of superimposed winding layers arranged with respect to a vertical axis of the deflection system with at least one of the layers of the vertical deflection coil being disposed asymmetrically with respect to the vertical axis or disposed symmetrically with respect to the vertical axis and having winding portions delimiting at least one gap along an extent thereof at a position other than the vertical axis. In this manner, an induced voltage in the at least one of the layers is substantially equal to an induced voltage in each of another of the layers at least in the region of the vertical axis, whereby ringing is substantially prevented.

Deflection system

A system for generating magnetic fields to converge a plurality of electron beams in a cathode-ray tube including at least one convergence yoke having a core with a ring-shaped outer periphery and a plurality of magnetic poles on an inner periphery thereof extending toward a neck part of the cathode-ray tube for forming magnetic paths therewith. A lateral line comma aberration correcting coil arrangement is provided with at least a first coil wound on at least one of the plurality of magnetic poles of the at least one convergence yoke and a first driving circuit connected to the first coil for enabling generation of a magnetic field to correct misconvergence in a lateral line direction on a fluorescent face of the cathode-ray tube, and a longitudinal line correction coil arrangement is provided with at least a second coil wound on the at least one of the plurality of magnetic poles of the at least one convergence yoke and a second driving circuit connected to the at least second coil for enabling generation of a magnetic field to correct misconvergence in a longitudinal line direction on the fluorescent face of the cathode-ray tube.

Convergence system

A convergence system for a cathode-ray tube having three detection magnetic pole pieces are disposed opposing to each other on both sides of a center beam for forming magnetic paths inside the neck part of a cathode-ray tube. A first convergence yoke is disposed outside the neck part of the cathode-ray tube for forming magnetic paths together with the magnetic pole pieces. A first coil is wound on a first convergence yoke to generate a magnetic field for correcting horizontal misconvergence between the center beam and a side beam on a side of the center beam. A second coil is wound on the first convergence yoke to generate a magnetic field for correcting horizontal misconvergence between the center beam and a side beam on the other side of the center beam. A third coil is wound on the first convergence yoke to generate a magnetic field for correcting vertical misconvergence between the center beam and both side beams. Furthermore, a second convergence yoke is disposed on the neck part of the cathode-ray tube at a different position from the first convergence yoke. A fourth coil is wound on the second convergence yoke to generate a magnetic field for correcting vertical misconvergence between both side beams.
