A coin processing apparatus according to the present invention includes: a coin conveying section that conveys coins on a coin passage; an identifying section that identifies coins on the coin passage; at least one discharging section that discharges normal coins that are identified as normal by the identifying section from the coin passage; at least first and second removing sections that remove abnormal coins that are identified as abnormal by the identifying section from the coin passage; and a control section that distributes abnormal coins to either one of the first and second removing sections in order to remove the abnormal coins, in accordance with identification factors of the abnormal coins.

A coin wrapping machine includes a rotatable disk for feeding coins toward a coin passage by centrifugal force produced by the rotation thereof, a disk motor for rotating the rotatable disk, a transporting belt for transporting the coins along the coin passage, a belt motor for driving the transporting belt, a coin stacker, a coin wrapping device having a plurality of wrapping rollers, a wrapping roller motor for driving the wrapping rollers, a pair of crimp claws, a crimp claw motor for moving the pair of crimp claws, and a driving speed controller for controlling the disk motor, the belt motor, the wrapping roller motor and the crimp claw motor based on the denomination of the predetermined coins. A coin wrapping machine includes a coin denomination selecting device for selecting the denomination of coins to be wrapped, a coin discrimination and counter device for discriminating and counting the coins to be wrapped, a coin stacking device for stacking a predetermined number of coins, a coin wrapping device for wrapping a wrapping paper around the stacked coins and crimping both ends of the wrapping paper, and a speed setting device for setting the operating speed of wrapping rollers to a predetermined speed and setting the moving speed of a crimping device to a predetermined speed.

A coin feeding apparatus for a coin handling machine includes a rotary disk for feeding coins into a coin passage one by one, a coin amount detector for outputting a trigger signal when it detects that the amount of coins has become less than a predetermined amount, a conveyor belt for feeding coins deposited into the coin handling machine onto the rotary disk, a motor adapted for driving the conveyor belt in accordance with the trigger signal from the coin amount detector, and a drive period controller adapted for controlling, in accordance with the denominations of coins to be fed, the drive period during which the motor drives the conveyor belt.

Coin feeding apparatus

A feeder of wrapping paper is located adjacent to a coin wrapping machine. The feeder comprises a frame, a turntable rotatably mounted on the frame, a motor positioned within the frame for rotating the turntable, guide plates for guiding the wrapping paper along a predetermined path, and a controller for controlling the operation of the motor. The turntable forms a substantially horizontal plane on which an operator can place a roll of the wrapping paper and is provided with a plurality of opening areas for accommodating the operator's fingers supporting a lower side surface of the roll. The controller controls the operation of the motor in association with a feed roller constituting a wrapping device of the coin wrapping machine. The roll of wrapping paper on the turntable is rotated with the rotation of the turntable by the motor so as to deliver the wrapping paper in association with the feed roller.

A coin removing apparatus for a coin handling machine of a rotatable disk type including a coin jamming eliminator for conducting unjamming operation by rotating the rotatable disk and driving a coin transporting belt in a reverse direction and then rotating the rotatable disk and driving the coin transporting belt in a normal direction, and repeating such operation a predetermined number of times in a case where a coin detector detects coins on the rotatable disk after a predetermined time has passed since a sensor detected a last coin, the coin removing apparatus including a coin removing lever for removing the coins on the rotatable disk and a controller for driving the coin removing lever to remove the coins from the rotatable disk, in the case where the sensor does not detect any coins and the coin detector detects some coins after a predetermined time has passed since the unjamming operation was completed. In this coin removing apparatus, coins remaining in the coin handling machine can be easily removed.
