A differential device is provided with a case rotatable about an axis; an input member configured to receive the torque from the input shaft, the input member being housed in the case and including an engaging outer periphery drivingly engaged with the case; first and second output gears configured to respectively drivingly link with the output shafts, the first and second output gears being rotatably housed in the case to form a row with the input member along the axis; one or more first pinions being rotatably housed in the case in parallel with the axis and meshing with the first output gear, the first pinions having no overlap with the engaging outer periphery of the input member and the second output gears; and one or more second pinions being rotatably housed in the case in parallel with the axis and meshing with the second output gears and the first pinions, the second pinions extending beyond the input member to reach the first pinions.

Differential device

A torque transmission coupling includes a rotating shaft and a drive pinion shaft for carrying out input and output transmission of a torque. A torque control part is arranged between the rotating shaft and the drive pinion shaft for controlling torque transmission between the rotating shaft and the drive pinion shaft on the basis of a frictional engagement caused by an electromagnetic force of an electromagnet. At least a portion of the torque control part is arranged in an outer periphery of a taper roller bearing rotatably supporting the drive pinion shaft, thereby allowing a shortening of an entire length of the torque transmission coupling.

Torque transmission apparatus and case structure

A differential limiter, including: differential mechanism, including: input member, first output member, second output member, and differential gear connecting the above three members so that the above three members differentially rotate; shaft member connected to the first output member and serving as output member of driving force; first cam mechanism including: first cam face on the first output member, and second cam face on the shaft member, the first cam face and second cam face are oppositely connected with each other in axial direction, to cause first axial thrust force and second axial thrust force according to driving torque; and frictional clutch between two of the above three members, and transmitting a differential limit torque. The first axial thrust force of the first output member presses the frictional clutch from first axial end. The second axial thrust force of the shaft member presses the frictional clutch from second axial end.

Differential limiter

Between a speed reducing mechanism () for speed-reducing drive power of an electric motor and a differential apparatus () for distributing speed-reduced drive power to axle ends is disposed a clutch () configured for interruptive transmission of drive power.

Power transmission system and operation method thereof

In order to make it possible to shorten an entire length, a torque transmission coupling is provided with a rotating shaft () and a drive pinion shaft () for carrying out input and output transmission of a torque, and a torque control means () arranged between the rotating shaft () and the drive pinion shaft () and controlling a torque transmission between the rotating shaft () and the drive pinion shaft () on the basis of a frictional engagement caused by an electromagnetic force of an electromagnet (), and at least a part of the torque control means () is arranged in an outer periphery of a taper roller bearing () rotatably supporting the drive pinion shaft ().

Power transmission system and operation method therefor

A torque transmission apparatus includes a clutch housing and a clutch hub, a frictional multi-plate clutch for transmitting torque between the clutch housing and the clutch hub, a pressurizing member for bringing the frictional multi-plate clutch into engagement by producing a thrust, and a motor for generating a relative rotation between members by rotation of member of the pressurizing member. In the torque transmission apparatus, an accommodating recessed portion is provided in an outer wall of the clutch housing, wherein the pressurizing member disposed in the accommodating recessed portion, a penetrating portion which confronts the pressurizing member is provided in the outer wall, and a transmission member interposed between the pressurizing member and a flange portion of the clutch hub for transferring a thrust of the pressurizing member to the clutch hub is disposed in the penetrating portion so as to pass therethrough.

Torque transmission apparatus

Between a speed reducing mechanism ( ) for speed-reducing drive power of an electric motor and a differential apparatus ( ) for distributing speed-reduced drive power to axle ends is disposed a clutch ( ) configured for interruptive transmission of drive power.

A coupling for a vehicle includes a pilot clutch , a main clutch , a pressing system and a coupling mechanism . The pilot clutch generates a pilot torque and is operated by operating means . The main clutch connects torque members and and transmits transmitted torque. The coupling mechanism operated by the pilot torque converts the pilot torque into a pressing force for coupling the main clutch via the pressing system by use of a cam thrust force thereof. The main clutch is disposed outside the pilot clutch in a radial direction, and respective members of the pressing system are mutually positioned and designed to move unitarily in a pressing direction, thus sliding portions caused by the main clutch is connecting and disconnecting are limited to being on a side of the main clutch

Coupling for vehicle

Drive system torsional vibration resonance while an engine is idling is prevented. An input clutch pack is connected to a rotating drive plate connected to the engine. The input clutch pack is formed from a drive side comprising an input drum, metal plates, and a retaining plate and from a driven side comprising an input clutch hub and facing plates. When the input clutch pack is disengaged, the inertial mass on the engine side with the engine serving as the vibration source, the coil spring, and the inertial mass on the drive side form a single-degree-of-freedom drive system torsional vibration model. By increasing the thickness in the axial direction of the metal plates, the drive side inertial mass is made to be 50% to 100% of the engine side inertial mass. As a result, drive system torsional vibration resonance during idling is prevented while the weight increase is kept to a minimum.

Starting clutch

There is provided with a first clutch. A second clutch is for controlling fastening and releasing operation of the first clutch. The first clutch and the second clutch are radially differently and axially correspondently positioned each other.

Coupling

A switching synchronous apparatus for a four wheel drive vehicle in which a drive force is transmitted to a driven side differential gear by connecting the drive force of a transfer capable of attaching and detaching the drive force is disclosed. The apparatus comprising a first rotation member provided in the driven side differential gear and connected to a transfer side, a second rotation member provided in the driven side differential gear and to be connected to the first rotation member, and a synchronous connection mechanism provided in the driven side differential gear and synchronously connecting the first rotation member to the second rotation member in relative. Here, the first rotation member and the second rotation member are synchronously connected to each other by the synchronously connecting mechanism and the drive force becomes in a state capable of being transmitted to the second rotation member.

Switching synchronous apparatus for four wheel drive vehicle

A differential apparatus includes a differential casing, a pair of output side gears disposed in the differential casing, a differential mechanism distributing driving force of an engine, a clutch for operatively connecting the differential casing with the axles of the vehicle, an actuator for releasing the clutch from its connecting operation, and an urging member for causing the clutch to connect the differential casing with the axles of the vehicle. When the actuator is inactivated, the urging member serves to attain the connecting operation of the clutch. Therefore, even if the actuator is in a bad condition, four-wheel driving condition of the vehicle can be maintained. Therefore, the differential apparatus allows the vehicle to escape from a bad road.

Differential apparatus with two wheel/four wheel drive switching

A differential apparatus for a part-time four-wheel drive vehicle is provided. The differential apparatus includes an outer differential casing, an inner differential casing, a clutch member adjacent to the inner differential casing, a pair of dog clutches, a differential gear system arranged in the inner differential casing and an actuator body for actuating the clutch member. One of the dog clutches is connected with the inner differential casing, while the other of the dog clutches is formed on the clutch member. When the vehicle is traveling under two-wheel drive, the inner differential casing and the differential gear system are raced, while the outer differential casing and the clutch member do not race. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the racing loss of these members and the noise caused by the racing loss.

Differential apparatus for reducing friction and noise

A differential gear transmitting force from an engine to a pair of wheels, includes a differential gear case receiving driving force of an engine and rotatably driven having a casing body and an end cover, a pair of side gears connected with the wheels respectively, pinion gears having a first gear portion meshed with the side gear and a second gear portion meshed with other pinion gear outside in the axial direction of the side gears, housing holes receiving each pinion gear slidably and rotatably and supporting a whole periphery of the second gear portion of the pinion gear except for a meshing portion meshed with other pinion gear, and a plate member fixed to the casing body and being able to bear the thrust force of the pinion gear.
