A spiral spring for a reclining adjustment mechanism for a vehicle seat in which ridges are formed on both ends in a direction perpendicular to a coiling direction of a surface of a spring plate member formed by a band-like steel plate having high hardness so that the ridges project from the surface, projected surfaces of the ridges are curved, and the spring plate member is spirally formed into a coil. The spring plate member has a pitch coiled structure in which a gap between an intermediate spring plate member and an inner spring plate member is formed to be smaller than a gap between an outer spring plate member and the intermediate spring plate member. An engagement piece bent in the radial direction is formed at the end of the outer spring plate member, and an engagement coiled core section is formed in the inner spring plate member.

Spiral spring

A supporting structure of a headrest bracket is disclosed comprising attaching portions (flat areas in the frontal view) provided on an upper frame of a vehicle seat, with attaching wall portions formed on both ends of each flat attaching portion, whereby one side of the headrest bracket is put onto the attaching portion, so that welding points made between the free ends of the attaching wall and on the sides of the headrest bracket are provided, and the free ends are welded, and the welding point made between the upper and/or lower ends of the attaching portion and on the sides of the headrest bracket is horizontally welded.

Supporting structure of headrest bracket

The active headrest of the invention includes individual parts provided in a seat back. The individual parts include a lower unit which operates by an impact given to a frame, a wire which elevates/lowers inside the seat back linked to the lower unit, a solenoid to which the wire is locked and/or an upper unit having the solenoid, and a headrest device linked to a lifter or a connecting portion of the upper unit. At the time of collision, the wire is tensioned downward, the lifter or connecting portion of the upper unit ascends or tilt forward, and the ascent and forward tilting of the headrest are performed instantaneously. As a result, this headrest can secure the ascent stroke and forward tilting which can follow the movement of a head, etc. at the time of collision, and can protect a head, etc.

Headrest device for active headrest

A headrest support holds a headrest arranged on a seat by fitting engagement, is supported on a receiving member formed on the seat, and has a through hole for fitting a stay of the headrest therein. A stay-and-receiving-member pressing portion having resiliency is formed by forming a first cut groove on an intermediate portion of a barrel portion of the headrest support and by setting the stay-and-receiving-member pressing portion free in at least two directions from the barrel portion. The stay-and-receiving-member pressing portion is formed in an arcuate shape as viewed in a cross section, wherein a curved inner surface which is curved toward a stay side is formed at a center portion of a curved inner surface and a projecting outer surface which projects toward the receiving member side is formed on a curved outer surface end portion.

Headrest support and locking member which is assembled to headrest support

There is provided a headrest support structure for attaching a headrest to a car seat. It comprises a headrest; a headrest stay; a height regulating engagement portion; a first slip-off preventing engagement portion; a tubular memberfor engaging the headrest stay. The tubular member is vertically provided in the car seat. The headrest support structure also has a first locking member operating unitprovided on the upper end of the tubular member; and a first elastic memberfor forcing the first locking member toward the headrest stay, for engaging the height regulating engagement portion or the first slip-off preventing engagement portion. By an pushing operation from the outside, the first locking member is moved back to release the height regulating engagement portion or the first slip-off preventing engagement portion. The headrest support structure also has a second locking member operating unit, comprising a second slip-off preventing engagement portion, a second locking member-; a second elastic member. The second locking member operating unit also comprises an engagement releasing mechanism for releasing the second locking member from the second slip-off preventing engagement portion.

Headrest support structure

Disclosed is a metallic cylindrical member and a metallic bracket that can prevent a change in inside diameter of the metallic cylindrical member which is induced with an external force applied on cooling of the welded portion. When forming the bracket by engaging projections and recesses with each other, which projections and recesses are formed at left and right sides A, B of a metallic plate, portions P through S which span adjacent projections are crushed stripewise in the wall thickness direction to form indentations, thereby supplying metal which is forced out of the indentations P through S to around each of the projections to enhance the adhesion between adjacent projections and realize a strong joining of both left and right sides of the metallic plate.

A mechanism of reclining a vehicular seat having a gear plate having an internal gear provided at a casing on one side having a hole, a side wall and a recess portion, a cam having a lock face and an unlock face, a lock gear plate arranged movably at the recess portion and having a locking portion and a lock face and a casing on other side provided to be opposed to the casing on the one side and is a mechanism of reclining a vehicular seat in which by moving the cam, an operating member is operated to bend, the lock gear plate is moved, by moving the lock gear plate, mesh between the gear and the internal gear is released, by moving the cam to an original state, the lock gear plate is recovered by operating the operating member to recover to an original state to thereby achieve mesh between the gear of the lock gear plate and the internal gear.

Mechanism of reclining vehicular seat

A headrest support that absorbs impact occurring on the headrest in the direction of its height is provided with a spring structure formed vertically downward from a lower side of a lock piece retaining hole, which prevents the clattering of a tube body relative to a receptacle tube. Resin-made springs are formed between cutout grooves extending in an outer peripheral surface of the tube body substantially parallel in the up-down direction, which are easily assembled by a lock piece, the tube body and a spring.

A vent changeover device for carburetors comprising two working ends provided on a piston rod of a piston moving in a suction chamber, one of which constitutes a rod end of the piston and the other of which constitutes an angle member joined to an end portion of the piston rod, an inner valve being actuated by the angle member so as to open and close an inner vent, an outer valve being actuated by the rod end so as to open and close an outer vent and disposed so as to face in a direction opposite to the direction in which the inner valve faces, and springs biasing the inner and outer valves, respectively, in vent-closing directions, the vents communicating with the fuel bowl via the respective valves, the inner and outer valves being adapted to be actuated in accordance with the movement of the piston rod such that when one of the valves is opened, the other is closed, the inner vent being opened only when the engine is rotated, and the outer vent being opened only when the engine is stopped.

Vent changeover device for a carburetor

A variable venturi type carburetor is provided having a vacuum generated in the venturi portion in accordance with the throttle valve opening. The vacuum is transmitted into a suction chamber through a vacuum passage so as to balance the force which is the sum of the force exerted by a suction spring and the force exerted by the atmospheric pressure introduced from an atmospheric pressure chamber. The suction piston is set to provide a cross-sectional area of the venturi portion corresponding to the intake air flow rate. The suction piston is provided with a guide groove receiving a guide roller which is rotatably mounted on a guide pin provided on the carburetor casing to oppose to the guide groove. The guide roller is adapted to roll along the guide groove to smooth the movement of the suction piston and prevents the suction piston from being rotated. The combination of the guide roller and the guide groove is free from the problem of wear, even after a long use, so as to ensure an extremely small hysteresis of behaviour of the suction piston and hence a highly accurate adjustment of the air fuel ratio. A suction spring is fixed at its both ends to the suction piston and the suction chamber in a twisted condition so as to bias the suction piston in a circumferential or rotational direction.
