An arrival order judgment device is easy in operation to judge the arrival order for positively recording slit images before and after the finish line for the arrival order judgment only in a necessary minimum range. Slit signals picked up by a line image sensor camera are inputted into a video signal delay circuit. The video signal delay circuit outputs the slit video signals at a predetermined delay time period A. When competitors approaches the finish line and the moment the competitors interrupt a photoelectric device, ON signals are inputted into a memory device to start the record of the images delayed for a predetermined time period. When the competitors are not on the finish line, the photoelectric device outputs OFF signals to a record instruction delay circuit. The record on the memory device is interrupted after the delay period set at the record instruction delay circuit has lapsed. Thus, it is possible to record the images after the competitors have passed through the finish line.

Arrival order judgment apparatus

In an alarm electronic timepiece having a reference time generator, a normal hand stepping pulse generator for driving a stepping motor, an alarm coincidence circuit and an electric buzzer, it includes an alarm hand stepping pulse generator which produces an alarm hand stepping pulse to drive the stepping motor instead of the normal hand stepping pulse from the normal hand stepping pulse generator, in an alarm sound generating state. The alarm hand stepping pulse produces at the lowest alarm sound pressure of the electronic buzzer, whereby a highly reliable and acoustically excellent alarm electronic timepiece is provided.

Alarm electronic timepiece having a stepping motor

In an electronic timepiece, a baseplate having a pair of opposed major surfaces, a magnetic shield plate disposed in continuous contact with one of the major surfaces and a stator disposed on the other of the major surfaces. A pin is inserted through the magnetic shield plate, baseplate and stator and includes a head portion bearing against the magnetic shield plate, and is engaged by a screw having a head bearing against the stator for fixing the shield plate, baseplate and stator between the head portion and the screw head. The shield plate includes an inwardly sloped aperture for receiving the head portion of the pin, and the head portion has a tapered peripheral surface complementary to the inwardly sloped surface of the aperture. The head portion is thinner than the shield plate and does not protrude beyond a surface of the shield plate, and because the shield plate is in continuous contact with the base plate it is not deformed by the head portion of the pin bearing thereagainst.
