A vibration component for loudspeakers includes a base layer, an intermediate layer, and a coating layer. The base layer has a front face and a rear face, has a first density, and is formed of a paper body containing a plurality of fibers. The intermediate layer has a first face joined to the front face of the base layer, and a second face on a reverse side of the intermediate layer from the first face, has a second density higher than the first density, and includes a plurality of cellulose fibers as a main component. The coating layer is provided on the second face of the intermediate layer, and includes an inorganic powder formed of a plurality of inorganic fine particles.

A loudspeaker of high sound quality is achieved by improving rigidity of a material used for a diaphragm, a dust cap and a sub-cone. The diaphragm, the dust cap and the sub-cone of the loudspeaker are made of a paper beaten with the material containing bamboo fibers obtained from a bamboo tree aged one year or older, of which the fibers are finely beaten to an extent of micro-fibrillated form. The diaphragm and the dust cap are also made with a beaten paper containing at least 2 wt % of 'A fibers' having stems of no greater than 30 &#x3bc;m in diameter, and surfaces of the stems are fibrillated into shaggy branches having diameters of 1 &#x3bc;m or less.

A loudspeaker diaphragm manufacturing apparatus of the present invention comprises; a paper tank, a pulp dispersion reservoir tank connected to the paper tank, a stirring means provided in the paper tank, a water inlet unit connected to the paper tank, a drain unit disposed under the paper tank, and a paper mold disposed at the bottom of the paper tank or in the drain unit, wherein a sectional area of the drain unit is larger than the plane area of the paper mold. The drain unit may be further provided with a water flow control plate in a draining direction of the paper mold. According to the manufacturing apparatus and the manufacturing method of the present invention, diaphragms with very uniform internal composition and diaphragms with intentionally varied internal composition in accordance with required sound characteristics can be mass-produced with good reproducibility.
