A natural invasion promoting method that is environmentally friendly, easy to carry out, can cope with a wide range of areas and inclined surfaces, achieves efficient natural invasion, and can satisfactorily promote greening on a soil surface of interest, and a spraying material used in the method are provided. A natural invasion promoting method including: spraying a spraying material containing live algae on a soil surface; breeding the live algae; and also directly or indirectly catching flying seeds or spores by a tacky substance secreted on surfaces of the live algae or a catching structure composed of the live algae to promote greening on the soil surface.

In a step of producing a powder product of the alga belonging to the genus, a pH adjusting step is included in which an alga belonging to the genusis allowed to be in a basic state of pH 9.5 or higher. According to the method, it is possible to provide driedpowder containing &#x3b2;-carotene at a high content by suppressing degradation of &#x3b2;-carotene as an active ingredient while decreasing each of the total pheophorbide amount and the existing pheophorbide amount to a predetermined value or less, even if the total pheophorbide amount and the existing pheophorbide amount of the cultured algae belonging to the genusare higher in summer.

The present invention provides a new strain of turkey tail mushroom ((L.: Fr.) Pilat) having excellent biological activities (Accession number: FERM BP-10633). The strain is excellent in platelet aggregation inhibitory effect, chemokine gene expression inhibitory effect, antimutagenic effect, antitumor effect, antihypertensive effect, and immunomodulatory effect. The effect of the strain is enhanced synergistically by combining with microalgae and other basidiomycetes. The turkey tail mushroom of the present invention has high safety, and a possibility that a side effect is caused because of long-term continuous use is very low. Thus, it is useful for food/drink, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals or the like, the objective of which is the prevention and improvement in inflammation, allergy, tumor, and other diseases. The turkey tail mushroom strain of the present invention has very high hyphal growth property and very high physiological functions compared with conventional strains; therefore, it can be used stably.
