Provided is an information processing system that communicates with a storage apparatus through a plurality of paths P(i=1 to n, where n is a total number of the paths), and that issues an I/O to the storage apparatus through one of the paths P. The information processing system sets weights Wfor the respective paths P; obtains an I/O issue interval dof each of the paths Pby dividing a sum total &#x3a3;Wof the weights Wby the weight Wset for the path P; obtains I/O issue timings t(m)of each of the paths Pby using the following equation: t(m)=d/C+m&#xb7;d(m=0, 1, 2, . . . ) (where C is a constant); and issues the I/Os to the paths Pin an order corresponding to the an order of the I/O issue timings t(m) chronologically arranged.

Information processing system and method of allocating I/O to paths in same

A magnetic head core and a method of fabricating same, wherein a magnetic circuit is constituted by a pair of magnetic films having a V-shaped cross section which face each other at each protrudent section through the gap material. The cross-sectional portion of the V-shaped film is exposed to the surface facing the magnetic recording medium. The protrusions of the magnetic film pair have tip planes parallel to each other and substantially perpendicular to the moving direction of the magnetic recording medium. The tip plane has a width defined by the line of intersection between the plane and the surface facing the magnetic recording medium in correspondence to the recording track width. At least one of the magnetic films has a window for winding an excitation coil. The magnetic film is formed on the non-magnetic protection member having a V-shaped protrusion. The magnetic head has superior recording and reproducing characteristics in a wide frequency band with less rubbing noise, high wear-resistivity and high productivity, and operates without the pseudo gap effect. The magnetic head core is fabricated through the steps of forming a coil winding groove in the gap forming plane of a non-magnetic core block, forming a number of parallel grooves perpendicularly to the winding groove so that a number of V-shaped protrusions are produced, forming a magnetic film on the surface of the protrusions, forming a gap plane after the magnetic film has been coated with non-magnetic material, and splitting the block and then combining the two core blocks to complete a magnetic head core.

Magnetic head and method of fabricating same

A terminal controller for allowing concurrent operations of a plurality of application programs, each said application program using an input/output data stream including an address information for enabling to display data on the overall screen of a terminal enables the outputs from application programs which operate concurrently to be displayed on the split screen of a single terminal linked with said terminal controller. An address conversion is carried out in the terminal controller on at least a portion of the address information in an input data stream input from a terminal and on at least a portion of the address information in an output data stream output from an application program.

A magnetic head which uses single crystal Mn-Zn ferrite containing up to 7% by weight of SnO.sub.2 occluded therein without being allowed to separate and which has such a construction that glass having a contraction rate lower than that of ferrite is filled in the narrowed portion near the gap, the plane forming the principal magnetic circuit of the core is allowed to coincide with the {110} plane of the ferrite and an angle .theta. between the &lt;100&gt; direction inside the {110} plane of the ferrite and the gap-forming plane is from 5.degree. to 40.degree. or 85.degree. to 120.degree.. The magnetic head having such a construction has a reduced modulation noise and extremely excellent write-and-read characteristics.
