A printer includes: a housing; a platen holder; a platen roller; a printing head; an operation member; a first link; a second link; a connection member having a connecting portion connecting the first link to the second link; and a movable member moving the platen holder in response to a pivotal movement of the second link to move the platen roller toward and away from the printing head. When the operation member is moved within a first movable range, the second link is pivotally moved while the first link and the connecting portion are maintained at a first positional relationship. When the operation member is moved within a second movable range different from the first movable range, a positional relationship between the first link and the connecting portion is changed from the first positional relationship to a second positional relationship while the second link is maintained stationary.

A printing device includes a first support portion, a second support portion movable in a moving direction of the second support portion toward and away from the first support portion, a movable probe movably supported by a detector, and a permission mechanism. The movable range consists of a first range and a second range. The permission mechanism is configured to permit the movable probe to move in accordance with the movement of the second support portion in the separating/approaching direction relative to the first support portion in a case where the movement of the second support portion is within the first range, and is also configured to prevent the movable probe from moving irrespective of further movement of the second support portion relative to the first support portion in a case where the movement of the second support portion is within the second range.

A print device includes a housing, a lid body, a display device, and a mounting portion. An opening is formed in an upper portion of the housing. The lid body opens and closes the opening of the housing by a second end portion side of the lid body pivoting around a predetermined rotation axis provided at a first end portion of the lid body. The mounting portion is provided on an upper portion of the lid body when the opening is closed. The display device can be attached to and detached from the mounting portion along a predetermined attachment/detachment direction with respect to the lid body. The attachment/detachment direction is orthogonal to an extending direction of a tangent line. The tangent line is tangential to a circumferential direction of the rotation axis at a position of the second end portion of the lid body.

A battery storage structure includes a battery storage portion, a battery terminal, a separate member, and an overhang portion. The battery storage portion includes a bottom surface portion and peripheral wall portion extending from the perimeter of the bottom surface portion in a direction that intersects with the bottom surface portion and forms a first opening. The battery terminal has a contact portion and is supported by the peripheral wall portion. The separate member is formed as a separate body from the battery storage portion. The overhang portion is provided on the separate member, is positioned on a first direction side with respect to the contact portion, and protrudes toward an inner side of the peripheral wall portion in a second direction. The first direction is a direction from the bottom surface portion toward the first opening. The second direction is a direction that intersects the first direction.

A print device includes a housing, a lid body, an input device, and a mounting portion. An opening is formed in an upper portion of the housing. The lid body opens and closes the opening of the housing by a second end portion side of the lid body pivoting around a predetermined rotation axis provided at a first end portion of the lid body. The mounting portion is provided on an upper portion of the lid body when the opening is closed. The input device can be attached to and detached from the mounting portion along a predetermined attachment/detachment direction with respect to the lid body. The attachment/detachment direction is orthogonal to an extending direction of a tangent line. A rotary cutter apparatus comprises a rotary body and a holding body. The rotary body is supported by a housing so as to rotate along a rotating direction. The holding body is supported by the housing. The rotary body has a rotary blade including a first edge portion. The holding body has a fixed blade including a second edge portion. The first edge portion is configured to be in contact with the second edge portion and to be rubbed with the second edge portion. The first edge portion and the second edge portion are configured to perform cutting of an object to be cut. The object is located in an introduction path. The rotary cutter apparatus further comprises a guide member configured to be in contact with the object and to guide it when the object is fed to an inside of a rotation trajectory of the rotary body.

A key switch includes a front cover formed with a cursor key hole. In the front cover, a first rib is formed on a first support wall and a second rib is formed on a second support wall. Accordingly, when a cursor key part disposed in the cursor key hole is pressed, it can be restrained against motion in a shorter side direction. The operationality of a cursor key can be improved, which allows a correct operation.

The sheets drawn from the sheet rolls contact the sheet guide portions and the centers of each sheet roll are disposed at positions apart from leadlines of the sheets which connect the peripheries of the pinching roller in the slide contact portions of the sheet guides.
