A flexible hose for use as a refrigerant passageway in a vehicular refrigerating cycle has an inner hose and an outer hose. The outer hose covers the inner hose with a space formed in a given distance. The outer hose and the inner hose are formed of resin having flexibility.

A duplex pipe () is cut with a cutting tool (), for cutting connecting ribs () from the end face of the duplex pipe () which is held with an outer pipe () chucked (rib cutting step). The duplex pipe () is cut from the end face of the duplex pipe () up to the portion thereof corresponding to the exposed length of the inner pipe () to thereby form a slit () in the outer pipe () and connecting ribs () (slit forming step). The cutting tool () has a guide hole () into which the inner pipe () can be inserted while guiding the inner pipe outer peripheral surface (), a cutting device () for cutting the connecting ribs (), and a guide pin () which can be inserted into the inner pipe () while guiding the inner pipe inner peripheral surface ().

Duplex pipe end working method

An air-conditioning apparatus for a vehicle wherein noise in the passenger's compartment is reduced by suppressing transmission of vibration to the evaporator, and the prevention of coolant leakage is enhanced, and at the same time, the man-hours for inspection are reduced by reducing the number of pipe joints. The cooling capacity is also enhanced by replacing the sub-cooling process in the condenser and the super-heating process in the evaporator, and further space in the narrow engine compartment is effectively used.

Air conditioning apparatus for vehicle

The invention relates to a receiver-drier for use in an air conditioning system. This receiver-drier has (a) a lower portion defining a lower chamber in the receiver-drier; (b) an upper portion defining an upper chamber in the receiver-drier; and (c) a strainer for removing foreign particles from the refrigerant. The lower portion has an inlet for allowing the refrigerant to flow into the lower chamber and an outlet for allowing the refrigerant to flow out of the lower chamber. Each of the inlet and the outlet is formed at a bottom of the lower portion. The upper chamber is on top of the lower chamber and is charged with a desiccant for removing moisture from the refrigerant. The strainer is disposed at a position in a flow of the refrigerant from the inlet to the outlet.

Receiver-drier for use in an air conditioning system

Firstly, using a cutting tool , connecting ribs are cut off from the end face of a duplex pipe which is held with an outer pipe chucked (rib cutting step). Next, the duplex pipe is cut at and from the end face of the duplex pipe up to the portion thereof corresponding to the exposed length of the inner pipe to thereby form a slit in the outer pipe and connecting ribs (slit forming step) The cutting tool comprises a guide hole into which the inner pipe can be inserted while guiding the inner pipe outer peripheral surface , a cutting device for cutting the connecting ribs , and a guide pin which is disposed in the guide hole and can be inserted into the inner pipe while guiding the inner pipe inner peripheral surface

A refrigerating cycle has a condenser, an evaporator, a variable displacement compressor, and an expansion valve. The variable displacement compressor is connected between the condenser and the evaporator to form the refrigerating cycle, and includes a control valve designed to provide a control valve characteristic sloping downward with increase in a discharge pressure. The expansion valve is connected between the condenser and the evaporator, to return a refrigerant from the condenser through the evaporator to the variable displacement compressor, and designed to provide an open valve characteristic whose slope is approximately equal to the downward slope of the control valve characteristic.
