A Euclid processing module for obtaining an error locator polynomial of a binary BCH code in an error correction decoding circuit, in which error corrections of words are performed, includes registers, a shifter, a zero insertion unit, selectors and a sequencer. Coefficients of polynomials R(z) and B(z) stored in the registers are subjected to Galois field calculations by the processing module. Results of the calculations and the data of the registers are shifted by the shifter. Some of the coefficients are erased by the zero insertion unit and stored in registers by controlling the selectors with the sequencer. A necessary polynomial &#x3c3; (z) is calculated by repeated processing of the processing module. The Euclid processing module decreases a logic scale and simplifies controlling logic in a state of small latency and high operating frequency.

In a closed compressor provided with a ball joint, there was needed a structure easy to assemble and capable of sufficiently supplying the lubricating oil to a ball joint section in order to ensure smooth sliding between a ball and a ball seat. The closed compressor is provided with a ball joint section. In the ball joint section, flat cut portions are formed in the outside diameter of the ball of the connecting rod, parallel with the end face of a ring. Also a groove is formed for insertion of the ball into the ball seat from the end of the crankshaft side which is an open end of the piston. The groove has the same width as the width between the flat cut portions of the ball.

In a closed type motor-operated compressor, oil covers are provided at the upper and lower portions of a stator, as well as a porous filter provided between the lower portion coil cover and a support member for supporting a sub-bearing, wherein it is so constructed that gas discharged passes through the filter with certainty after passing through a space defined by an inner diameter of a sealed container and a constituent element(s) of a compressor mechanism, thereby dissolving a problem of decreasing heat change efficiency in a refrigerating cycle due to much of discharge of refrigerating machine oil from a discharge pipe to the refrigerating cycle.

A scroll compressor, in which as a coolant is applied a mixture coolant obtained by mixing at least one or more kinds selected from a group of hydro fluoro carbon, within a closed container thereof, comprising: an electricmotor; a rotary scroll driven with said electric motor; and a stationary scroll, whereby forming a scroll compression mechanism between said rotary scroll for compressing said coolant, wherein said scroll compression mechanism comprises: Oldham ring for supporting said rotary scroll so that said rotary scroll perform a gyrating movement with respect to said stationary scroll without spinning around an axis thereof; and a frame for supporting said Oldham ring in movable manner for purpose of achieving supporting of said rotary scroll mentioned above, wherein said Oldham ring is formed from sintered alloy of iron group, while said frame and said rotary scroll are formed from cast iron, and after treating a steam process thereon, a sliding surface of said Oldham ring is machined by means of an end mill.

Scroll compressor

In a scroll compressor, generation of excessive vibration attributable to a ferrous Oldham's ring is eliminated, the fatigue failure and the operation noise are prevented, and the reliability is improved. Only an Oldham's key under sliding motion is formed of a metallic bush formed of iron excellent in the reliability in slidability, and an annular part large in volume is manufactured of light metal such as aluminum, and assembled to reduce the weight. That is, the bush excellent in wear resistance is press-fitted and locked to a light Oldham's ring formed of aluminum alloy in which a projection is integrated with the annular part. Alternatively, both sides of the projection which are the sliding sides with key grooves may be formed in arc shape. In this construction, the scroll compressor is obtained, in which generation of the excessive vibration attributable to a conventional ferrous Oldham's ring is eliminated thereby, the fatigue failure and the operation noise attributable to the vibration are prevented, the reliability is high, and the fabricability is excellent.

A scroll compressor has an Oldhams ring made of sintered metal operating as a rotation-prevention mechanism for holding the rotation scroll. The Oldhams ring is formed to a size to accommodate the cutting work or the grinding work of the surface processing during the forming of the sintered metal, and, as a result, the productivity of the Oldhams ring can be improved and the wear resistance becomes excellent. A scroll compressor that is inexpensive and has a high reliability may be made of a hard sintered metal which has an excellent wear resistance. A first groove 3a and the second groove 3b are formed in the end face 3 of the ring 2 of the Oldhams ring into the sintered metal. And, after the processing, the first groove 3a is deepest, and the depth is progressively reduced in order of the second groove 3b and the end face 3 in the Oldhams ring. The wear on the corner part of the tool, which is easiest to wear being used to process the side face of the keys is reduced due to the presence of these grooves.

In a compressor, a lubricant groove for a contact area between a self-aligning spherical bearing and a housing therefor opens to a relatively low pressure chamber, but is prevented from opening to a relatively high pressure chamber, the housing has an arrangement for restraining a transmission of deformation and/or heat energy from a welded portion thereon to the contact area, and a main shaft, the housing, a housing lid and a pipe for lubricant circulation are coaxially arranged.

Disclosed is a method of working a semi-finished scroll member for a scroll compressor which has a circular end plate having a first end face and a second end face with a spiral wrap extending therefrom. Before the second end face and the wrap are machined, the outer peripheral surface of the end plate is formed therein with a circumferencial groove to provide jaw finger engaging surfaces spaced from the first and second end faces of the end plate. Then, radial grooves are formed in the outer periphery of the end plate such that each groove extends between and is open in one of the jaw finger engaging surfaces and in the first end face of the end plate. Thereafter, the semi-finished scroll member is positioned relative to a machine tool such that the first axial end face of the end plate is placed adjacent a back-up member of the machine tool. Then, jaw fingers of the machine tool are moved into engagement with the jaw finger engaging surfaces of the semi-finished scroll member, respectively, and are further moved axially of the machine tool toward the back-up member until the first axial end face of the end plate is urged against the back-up plate, whereby the semi-finished scroll member is firmly fixed to the machine tool and ready for machining of the second axial end face of the end plate and of the spiral wrap thereon.

A closed type motor-driven compressor includes a motor accommodated in a closed container and a compression mechanism connected through a crank shaft to the motor. A shielding member having a cylindrical portion substantially concentric with the axis of the compression mechanism is disposed between the motor and the compression mechanism. This shielding member defines a shielding air space between the motor and the compression mechanism for preventing a permeation of a lubricating oil. An inlet of a discharge pipe of the closed type motor-driven compressor is positioned inwardly of this shielding air space.

The rotary shaft of a closed-type electrically driven compressor is rotatably supported by self-aligning bearings. Each bearing has a spherical bearing member, a supporting member and a bushing. The supporting member has a concave spherical inner surface and a cylindrical inner surface. The bushing has a concave spherical inner surface and a cylindrical outer surface and is fitted into a space defined by the cylindrical inner surface of the supporting member. The concave spherical inner surface of the supporting member and that of the bushing movably support the spherical bearing member.

A scroll compressor has an orbiting scroll which operatively meshes with a stationary scroll to define compression chambers therebetween. This orbiting scroll is driven by an electric motor through a crank-shaft, and makes an orbiting movement while being prevented from rotating about its own axis by a rotation preventing member. The crankshaft is journalled by at least two sliding bearings which are arranged respectively on the both sides of the electric motor, and the mast remotely distanced bearing from the orbiting scroll has a self-aligning function which enables it to change its attitude in accordance with any inclination of the crankshaft. Further, a balance and a counter weight are provided on the crankshaft to counterbalance the centrifugal force produced by the orbiting scroll and the inertial force produced by the rotation preventing member.

In a thermal transfer printer of the type wherein pigment or dye on the thermal transfer paper is transferred onto the recording paper by means of a thermal print head, a plurality of current pulses having a sufficiently small time width are seriated closely to produce a contiguous current supplied to each of thermal elements of the print head. It is detected whether any current pulse flows at least in one of the thermal elements, and the current conducting operation is terminated when none of the thermal elements is found to conduct the current pulse. The printer can terminate the recording operation in the course of any line that none of the thermal elements conducts the current any longer, and proceed to the recording operation for the next line, whereby the printing time can be reduced.
